evrfighter, it's just a service. It's like how games come with GameSpy or Punkbuster and install them during installation. Those sometimes require registration, too. Modern Warfare 2 comes with Steam.
Infinity Ward are sell outs.
Shotgun Sunrise, anyone?
Gay cowboys!
Trojan Horse isn't what you think it means. In this case, they're using the non-computer term--what they believe is that Valve is using Modern Warfare 2 to get Steam onto computers. I think that's a stupid reason to not sell a game.
That was quick. The game released not too long ago.
Turn off motion blur?
Game of the year.
So Modern Warfare 3 is basically confirmed after watching the ending to the game.
NaiNaiNai,
mw2res = 600p;
if (mw2res < 720p)
System.out.println("Moder n Warfare 2 is SD.");
Output:
Modern Warfare 2 is SD.
:D
SD resolutions are all resolutions below 720p.
HD resolutions are resolutions equal to or above 720p.
My area has AT&T U-Verse (also fiber), but I'd rather have Verizon FIOS.
250gbps? lol, no. Connections that fast costs tens of thousands of dollars per month, even in Japan, as they're meant for large businesses. If you had a connection that fast, you'd be able to service the entire Steam network from your home computer (they hit a peak of 150gbps a couple days ago). ;)
In Japan, you can get around a 100mbps (that's megabits, not megabytes) for fairly cheap compared to the US.
But yes, I agree with you. Comcast sucks.
All versions are kinda equally gimped. It's all about the money now.
Bring Down the Sky is free on PC.
Console versions got an 8.7. Only the PC version got a 9.
The problem with OpenGL is that there is little developer support behind it compared to DirectX. DX is progressing at a much faster rate.

A great PC isn't that expensive anymore. You can get a machine with a quad-core, 4GB of RAM, and an HD 4850 for around $600.
But it's always fun to see how much better.
As long as it's amazing, and it will be amazing, I don't care how long it takes... as long as it's not more than 5 years. :P
