If you're a server op, you can change tons of settings. You can change the frequency of zombies, how much health they have, what the color of the fog is, how fast zombies run, how much damage they do, how much damage survivors' weapons do, etc.
Counter-Strike 2 as in a sequel made by Valve. Counter-Strike: Source is no longer a mod. It can run on its own without depending on another game's files. Also, Le said Valve canned CS2, and it's doubtful they'll be releasing it anytime soon if Tactical Intervention is successful so as to not compete with Le.
Too bad we'll be waiting until Half-Life 3 for a Counter-Strike 2. :(
These are amazing games. Definitely try The Path. It's a really interesting experience.
This is stupid.
Randy Pitchford confirmed a Steam pre-order recently, so that might be worth waiting for.
You can play the GTA series on PC so you can check that off your list. :P
(The first two MGS games and DMC3 are on PC as well, but they aren't amazing ports).
The prequel to Modern Warfare 2 is Modern Warfare 1, Kushan.
Re-read what The_Count posted.
The hell? Paranormal?
Obviously it's just a name.
Windows 7 has been getting some good reception, at least through my anecdotal evidence. People I know who think Vista sucks (yeah, Microsoft's Mojava ads didn't have much of an affect on them) think that Win7 is a good operating system, despite not having actually used it.
I've been using Windows 7 since January 2009. From then to now, that's nearly 9 months I've been using it, and I can safely say that it's a fantastic operating system. Even in its beta state it was better than Vista. I had very few problems with it -- in fact, I only had two incompatibility problems: the first one was with Max Payne (wouldn't install) and the other was with GameGuard-protected games, but that's because the company won't update to support Win7 until Win7 releases.
The 360 version looks like it has a little better texture filtering, but the overall graphical superiority of the PS3 version more than makes up for that.
Microsoft probably said something like, "Since your first DLC was free, you're going to have to make this next one cost a little money."
Obviously, on the PC, you don't have these types of overseers over the platform.
It actually plays really well on my computer. With a mid-range 8800 GTS 512, I get around 50-60 FPS maxed out.
If you use an NVIDIA card, try out the 191.00 drivers. You can get them on Guru3D.com
Maybe fake isn't the best word.
It's a fan made project which Valve liked so much that they're posting it up on their blog.
It's fake, but still awesome.
Confirmed by Robin Walker through e-mail.
With a modern operating system and modern hardware, these system optimizers don't really do much. Only situation where they'd help is if your system is absolutely loaded to the rim with junk. Seeing 452 errors in the registry might seem impressive and you might think cleaning them would give a big performance boost, but in reality, the performance increase is very minimal. The Windows registry is very resilient, ensuring that erroneous entries don't slow down your computer.
Adding a dedicated PhysX card actually gives a very nice performance boost in Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Fudzilla is terrible.
You're scrutinizing this way too closely. You're creating the problem for yourself.
