TRACKMANIA IS ****ING AWESOME.

Yeah, they did start work on a 360 version, but on their Twitter, when asked about the console version, they said something along the lines of they stopped working on it. All resources are probably being focused on the expansion right now.
The system is stupid and it really doesn't work that well for what it's intended to do.
Runs really well for me. Max settings I get 40-60 FPS at 1680x1050 on my 8800 GTS 512. Your 4890 should be able to do a solid 60 FPS. Is v-sync on?
Developers build videos like these to show to other parts of their company or publisher or they use them to shop around for a publisher. I don't think it was entirely intentional (though they did say that a leak was likely), but it sure has worked well for advertising the game.
One of the LucasArts guys said that it wasn't going to be released on PC because you'd need a $4,000 PC to play the game. I think he got fired.
I'm guessing same as the last game.
16-18 on consoles, 55 on PC.
There's CPU-accelerated PhysX and GPU-accelerated PhysX. Running it on the CPU gives standard physics no different than something like Havok. Unreal Engine 3 uses PhysX as its default physics engine, though developers can use a different engine if they'd like -- Irrational did this with BioShock by using Havok instead, though the physics were pretty poor in that game since they were locked to 30 FPS... but I digress. The GPU accelerated PhysX gives you all that fancy stuff like volumetric fog...
It's more efficient to do things like cloth physics on the GPU. They can certainly be done on the CPU, of course, but it would just be more detrimental to performance. Fluid dynamics can't be done with current CPUs at an acceptable frame rate, though.
Hey, MGMT's not bad. :(
It's not a job. A couple of the top TF2 players and clans were chosen to help beta test some new Team Fortress 2 changes.
lowcarb, Left 4 Dead sold more on PC than Xbox 360. The activity charts show that -- at some times there were as many as 10 times more players on the PC.
Well, this is a free mod.
Some games gives different impressions to different people. You can't expect people to give uniform opinions on everything. There was a beta (PC) and demo (360) for the game -- playing the game yourself is a more accurate gauge of whether or not the game will be worth your time than any review.
Also, Section 8 isn't Xbox 360 exclusive (it's also on the PC, which was the lead platform, and you can easily tell that's true by playing and comparing the two versions) so you can't say ...
So... how exactly is this "leaked" footage?
I've been using Windows 7 since January and the only thing that hasn't worked was Max Payne.
Initial DX11 support seems impressive so far. I don't think there was this much support for DX10 at its launch.
It's crazy how easy piracy is on the DS. You just download a small file, put it on your card, and it's ready to play.
They said this month.
