The majority of people in the world can distinguish up to at least 60 FPS, and that is a fact.

Movies, despite running at 24 FPS, appear smooth because of natural motion blur. Most games nowadays use motion blur, but the implementation isn't entirely realistic yet. Crysis has the best motion blur I've seen so far, making motion seem smooth despite frame rate being fairly low.

Well, considering HDTVs cost a couple times more than $199.99, you'd expect better quality. :P

@2.1

Dude, Modern Warfare 2's story was horrific. And I really do mean horrific. They basically thought up some cool scenarios, created a story around those, then chopped it up to fit in a 5 hour campaign.

In the video, it's very subtle, but there is definitely a difference between DX11 and DX10.1. Look at the lighting: DX10 is a bit overexposed and overpowering in areas compared to DX11, but it is subtle. DX11's lighting is just right.

Which is disappointing because, since Microsoft has a huge amount of resources and influence, they could have made it something worth using.

What are you talking about? They didn't announce DLC. This is just a website. Valve did the same thing with Portal.

GameSpot is giving away 65,000 keys tomorrow.

So I hosted a local server in L4D2 PC with my home connection and the players all had pings 100 or less.

Does that mean my connection is better than Xbox Live's servers? :P

This video is actually a preview of Call of Duty: Future Warfare.

The Source engine is only 10 years old in the same way Modern Warfare 2's engine is 10 years old. Sure, they were originally conceived on id Tech 2 or 3, but they've undergone major modifications over the years.

It's been confirmed by Gabe himself that Left 4 Dead 3, if it's even going to be made, will not be out for another 2 or 3 years in order to incorporate new AI technology which Valve are researching right now.

GON' KILLS ME SOME NAZI DINOSAWRS.

Well, there's Episode Three and Portal 2.

There's also a game being developed by the developers of the first Left 4 Dead (few developers from the first L4D worked on L4D2) which may or may not be codenamed "Whiskey Sour."

A Counter-Strike 2 will have to come eventually, but probably not in this decade.

Go play Call of Duty 1.

Because it's much, much bigger than just a DLC pack. Calling Left 4 Dead 2 DLC to Left 4 Dead 1 is like saying Gears of War 2 is DLC to Gears of War 1 or BioShock 2 is DLC to BioShock 1.

It's because of agreements Activision made with retailers like GameStop. It sucks but I guess that's the business and politics of games nowadays.

Stardock just published Demigod. Gas Powered Games is the developer.

lol, Rage is not an RPG. Where did you get that idea?

It's 60/40 FPS and racing game.

Uh, there's a PC open beta coming in December.
