I think the art style is great.

AVA is actually not a bad game. For a free game, the graphics are amazing (it uses Unreal Engine 3).

Are you sure CryENGINE is a Quake 3 derivative?

I don't see it on here.

Some AI Director features have been used in previous Source engine games. There was a map in Counter-Strike: Source which had alternate paths, Episode Two used a simple form of the AI Director for some battles, and SiN Episodes dynamically adjusted difficulty based on how you played (get a lot of headshots and enemies will start hearing helmets or get shot a lot and bullets will take less damage).

7 feels snappier and more responsive. All the improvements they made definitely make a difference.

Wow, this review lost all credibility with this line.

"Instead, we’ll be looking at some practical real-world benchmarks, starting with PCMark Vantage."

OFP2 is an okay game. However, it doesn't compare to ArmA 2 if you want a true military simulation. OFP2 has more than a few compromises.

I'm curious...

Why can't game developers just let the players fully customize their controls to their choosing? Why force people to use preset controls?

It's Liberty City.

These were actually put up on Steam yesterday.

The graphics really aren't all that great, tbh.

Vista can use DX11.

Battleforge and Call of Pripyat see around a 5 FPS improvement in DX11 over DX10. The quality of the shadows are also improved, and this is through a simple port.

Sounds worth it to me.

You have to see it in action. The tessellation not only allows for higher polygon counts but also gives you water deformation, high quality cloth rippling, and the like. Things like shadows are improved as well, softening the edges and fixing shadow flickering.

That being said, while there will be a noticeable improvement over the console versions, but I don't think it will be a huge difference. DiRT2 was designed with DX9 in mind and then ported to DX11.

EA lowered the quality of the graphics because they said most people wouldn't play on high. :/

7 is faster than Vista, but it's not a huge difference. It's about on par with XP in game performance.

Your loss.

The mod itself is two years old.

Kinda old, but okay.

BFBC2 is nice, but I'm waiting for Battlefield 3!
