The MMORPG version of Torchlight will be separate game.
Apparently, they've upgraded.
GiantBomb's 2009 awards (not game of the year) were totally lame, though. Modern Warfare 2 for best co-op and competitive multiplayer? Whaaaat.
The OnLive TV device only costs around $25-30 to manufacture. Very cheap.
It's going to work the same way telecoms give cellphones for free. They give you the device but you'll have to use the service, and they make significantly more from you using the service.
Uh, what? Digital distribution is not a "grim horizon" as you say. The market is actually shifting towards digital as it's much more profitable for publishers. If Valve released their sales figures, then I think your opinion on DD would be different.
Yeah, urban environments sound right. It could be pretty cool if every building can be entered. Also, this interview ( http://www.incrysis.com/ind... ) says that CryENGINE 3 supports procedural destruction so maybe some buildings could be destroyed. That would be awesome.
@albert_275
Crysis sold very well, but the CEO of Crytek, Cevat Yerli, wants to see even better numbers. He wants to see Call of Duty-level sales in the 6+ million range. That is why Crysis 2 is on consoles. Unfortunately for him, he will never see numbers like that.

Darksiders is a 2010 game.
Bought Osmos (I missed the Thanksgiving one-day sale) and the Max Payne Bundle.
Was thinking about the Civ IV pack, but I'm trying to save my money for the THQ Complete Pack if it goes on sale again.
It's because the publisher only sends the distributor (in this case, Steam) a certain number of keys to hand out to buyers. Once those CD-keys are dolled out, they'll have to request more from the publisher.
The grass is not touching the ground.
That's because Wii piracy is ridiculously easy. It really just takes a couple minutes tops. Xbox 360 pirating is harder, but not by too much.
Steam client updates happen every couple weeks.
Each Steam client update also has a public beta before it's launched. You can read about the betas in the General Steam Discussion section of the SteamPowered forums.
They're slow because they plan on releasing the game in its entirety, all polished up, on a single date like a regular game studio. Personally, I don't think this is a great idea for a mod as they don't have to and they're working in their spare time. Even Gabe Newell thinks the same way -- he stands by the mod philosophy of "release early, release often." Mods have the flexibility of releasing early builds to the world to feedback. Black Mesa could have followed this by doing episo...
I'm starting to worry. I'm sure Fermi will be the best science card out there, but what about the games?
Watch the video. The beta released in September. You haven't heard about it because it's under NDA. I know a person who is in the beta right now and he says it works great.
Same here. I also liked how the CEO of the company really knew what he was talking about.

I hate it when people spread that myth around. It is absolutely false.
