Yeah PS+ is pretty hard on storage. While I don't mind at all on ps3, on Vita I got annoyed and just ended up buying the 32GB card. I was bested by proprietary!

Indeed. Also, I don't know if I'd call it AAA, but Dragon's Crown, unless by some fluke blows on Vita compared to ps3, looks to be a great game that I will purchase on Vita.
The best will be KZ though. When I let people play black ops declassified (don't judge, I didn't pay extra for it, it was the only bundle available at time of purchase) on my Vita some of them think it's awesome. If that game can pull that off, Killzone should be beast.
Playing some...

Just throw it into the pile of digital streaming services I'm still waiting for because I'm Canadian. Loves me some copyright and trade laws..... not.

I would like to say that I had a choice in choosing next gen, but I don't think I did. After a hiatus of gaming for a few years I got back into it last June. The thing that sold me on ps3 over 360 was PlayStation plus with its new instant games collection. Sixth months later plus made it easier for me to buy a Vita. Sixth months after that The Last Of Us has a deal for $50 off on the Pulse headset if you buy both.
Now I have a decent headset which should be compatible with ps4, th...

Sports games went from Tecmo Bowl, Arch Rivals, RBI, NBA Jam, Blades of Steel, etc. to NBA/NHL/MLB/Fifa/Madden 201X, where X is typically the year after the game's release.

Remember when first person shooters had level editors? Anyone could make a map, but getting people to play it meant it had to be good.

What happened to certain maps being synonymous with their games? 2fort, cpm1a, pro-tourney6, dm_sacred, de_dust2 examples

Treyarch doesn't deserve the number of sales their games get. Wait, what am I saying? Look at the massive amount of original games they've made. Not.

The only game I ever enjoyed by them was Die By The Sword. That game was not great, but it was funny as *bleep.*

This rules. The NHL games lost that spark when they went 3D. Pursuit of realism became more important than gameplay.

Agree, but I'm sure there are many indie PC devs out there that can't wait to get their hands on next gen consoles. If said devs weren't already putting their games in the console space then a massive new market just opened up. Factor in the architecture and self publishing and many new devs will bring their games over.

I love indie games, but I don't know if I'd go so far as to say it's Sony's biggest advantage. Price will probably be more importa...

There was a period when this would have been the most important article on this site for me. Then evo got rid of 3rd Strike. Sad days.

Hopefully. Maybe they'll open up the vita to codecs too. They'll need something new at least since streaming to the vita in HD will be punishing to the average person's upload.

Wouldn't that mean that as soon as plus is mandatory to play online it just becomes a competition of bonus programs? "Keeping" very few games compared to "renting" many, many more. They're both digital so you never truly own them. Besides, the money saved in one year from the instant game collection alone (not discounts or freebies) equates to enough to pay for plus for the next 30 years. I don't mind renting games if it's (64 games for $50 per year) $0.78 ...

This isn't the first tease about Vita at Gamescom. Like I mentioned above, this is (probably) their best opportunity business wise to create enough hype to move units before holiday season comes and wallets get lighter. As soon as next gen consoles drop not only will there be less vita news coverage, but there will be less people to see, read, or hear it. Hardcore gamers will be putting in their time on a slew of new next gen games.
I'm expecting a massive push coming for vita...

@Black-Helghast
It won't work like that unless your ps4 is on the same network as your vita. As it stands right now, anyway. Anyone who's already used remote play with their ps3 outside the same network knows it is terrible. The delay is massive. Still, I'd recommend buying a vita for your work anyway. That's what I do. :)

@Minato-Namikaze
Oh, I agree and understand. What I mean to say is that Vita adoption is not guaranteed after ps4 release. This could be the opportunity for Sony to give it a major push. Given that the gaming community has obviously made an issue of next gen console prices, how many people are going to rush out and spend another $200-$250 on a Vita. If those IGN poll results are any indication, price is a more important factor in next gen purchase than second screen. I have a Vita and...

This is very much a possibility. Some point between now and Q1 2014 Sony needs to effectively make a last ditch effort for some kind of mainstream Vita popularity. If they can't come up with something and the companion device idea doesn't help enough then the device will suffer the fate of slow adoption through price cuts, and that's best case scenario. I wouldn't be surprised to see something completely out of left field here. Moving God of War to Vita or maybe something new ...

While this is true, it doesn't change the fact that ps plus is a phenomenal value. The ONLY beef I have had with it is the necessary storage space. It's not so much an issue with ps3 because you can put almost any hard drive in there. Vita I had to suck it up and buy the expensive memory card. Stupid proprietary.

Rock Band was absolutely brilliant. Easily the best social/party/drinking video game I've seen. It allowed people with zero experience in games to jump in and have some fun. As someone who was primarily a PC game, I thought the current gen of consoles offered me nothing new. Then Rock Band and skate. came along and changed everything for me.

I'm excited. It's been a long long time since I've been a PC gamer so I never actually played Diablo 3. Everyone keeps telling me it sucks and to not bother. I'm still going to buy it. Do I think it will be 1.07 (I think?) Diablo 2 pre LoD? (In my book this was the best Diablo experience ever, minus the resolution) No, but it will still be fun. I preferred the psx version of the first Diablo to the pc one. Couch co-op looks perfect for this game. If I had my way there would be...

While I don't actually turn them off, I still agree with this statement.
Sony giving the update allowing them to be turned off seemed to be somewhat timed with The Last Of Us. I actually think Naughty Dog tailored the trophies to not interrupt your first play through, to great effect.
