Fail. I'm willing to bet that it beats Xbox One to the market by a week.
Obviously a list like this is heavily subjective, but I disagree with so much of it.
Even if you don't like the game, a list like this without counter strike is just wrong. Also, no quake or unreal. battlefield 3? Sounds like a list made by someone who took up PC gaming in the last couple of years and then threw in doom for some sort of authenticity.
Yup. I bought my mom a new laptop for Christmas and she couldn't figure it out. This might seem normal to some people except that my mom had been using personal computers since before I existed, and I am 27 years of age.
Gotta love how metro was supposed to be the Microsoft version of iOS.... not even close
I'm not going to play battlefield 4, but if I did, I would rather take the hit than upgrade to Windows 8.
Such a shame really. Windows 7 was the best Windows since 2000 sp4. Then they had to go and ruin it.
Yup. Current gen console OS' are awful at handling pretty much anything. Loading up YouTube on a ps3 should not take anywhere near as long as it does. It shouldn't take that long to close an app or game either.
If you haven't used one, try to get your hands on a Vita just to play around with. A vita will give a VERY good representation of what next gen consoles are like. A game can be in a loading screen and the PS button will instantly snap back to the system menu. From t...
Maria is like a not funny version of elpresador.
Just ignore the account. I'm buying a ps4, but I certainly don't put up with people who act like I did when I was a teenager.
Buy whichever one you want. Forget what other people want you to get.
Yup. The numbers only matter to 1) board of directors for the companies that produce the hardware as they have to answer to the investors and share holders, and 2) people who focus on negativity.
As long as enough people purchase a specific unit to warrant mainstream game production for said unit, the rest shouldn't matter to the end user.
@bjmartynhak
I guess you don't want background downloads or full store capability while gaming, either.
I have a Vita and it multitasks like a boss. It does it better than both my piece of poo Asus 1215N netbook and my Samsung Galaxy SIII. The browser is not as good and it doesn't have the apps, obviously, but at least it doesn't dump the ram. If they bring this level to ps4 I'll be happy.
Agree. Both of them are beyond their fifteen minutes. They both sound like idiots.
A good CRT also refreshes at 120Hz on lower resolutions.
120 fps > 60 fps.
Not that it matters in most retro games. Save maybe fighters.
Gamescom is bigger than E3... just maybe not as much so for the North American market.
Sony, Microsoft and Valve are all going to be there.
I'm hoping for some more info on Gaikai as well. I certainly hope you wouldn't have to re-purchase games a la PSOne and PS2 classics have done.
Since a few others are posting their wish games, I'll bite: a new Skate game for both PS4 and Vita.
This.
A 4GB card can (I'm pretty sure) hold any Vita game. So it's only really an inconvenience if you want to swap up digital purchases.
Most games don't use an online pass so you can pick up the game cards used to save a bit of coin.
Sony can manufacture solid state memory pretty darn cheap. They should have a pretty big profit margin on memory cards. I would hope for a price cut in the not too distant future. They should be able to take...
Sony has shown smartphone integration in an official video. The only thing the Vita adds is remote play.
I'll be able to use my Android phone as well as my Vita for everything else.

Edit: Obviously not all features of this integration is confirmed yet, but I would expect the smartphone bit to be pretty much the same as smart glass.
The definitive test to determine the victor between these two next gen consoles will be the YouTube drop test video.
Will Sony's smaller size and eraser shape deflect the devastating combination of gravity and cement?
Will Microsoft's larger casing be enough to protect it's delicate insides from a world of pain?
Tune in this November to find out!
I wonder this too. I always figured that if something needs more background resources than Windows 8, we should all be scared. These next gen consoles might eat children a la Mike Tyson.
Probably running a simulation where digital Xbox fans and digital PlayStation fans are in the same room. Then it makes a digital cake. All the digital people eat the digital cake together and become friends.
There will even digital pie as to not start pie fanboys vs. cake fanboys.
Sounds like a lovely world inside the PS4.
Killzone, Dragon's Crown, and maybe Tearaway will all be day one buys for me. The only day one buy left on my ps3 is Ratchet & Clank.
Vita doesn't need saving. Almost everyone who owns one loves it.
I'll bet that I may even entice a few people to buy one when they give Killzone a try with the trigger grip on there.
Suck a fat one Gameloft and your terrible FPS attempts.
Who actually loves the retro feel though? :P
