Normally, I would not be much of a fan of getting a PSP game in instant game collection, but for Metal Slug I'll certainly make an exception. This one had better have Ralf in it.

Edit: It does! Win!

I'd still not waste money on cable. Haha :)

Could be a possible use. Vita certainly tries to report any errors online.

I would imagine there's a page file for the fifteen minutes of video that constantly rewrites. If you mean usage and not storage, then I don't know. Maybe it uses a portion of the OS RAM allotment.

Sony already has a full featured editing suite in x86.
Not saying they'll have Vegas on ps4 by any means, but who knows what they can have on there.

Yup. I already own the companion Vita and I plan on buying the camera for ps4 as well. Xbox One would be a cheaper route. I'm not going to complain about the price. I only complain about the price of things when I need to buy them. There's no point in complaining about the price of a hobby.
I'm not rich, either. I don't make much more than minimum wage and have to pay rent and bills.

Agree. I'm glad that Sony and Microsoft are putting some energy towards video capture and casting.

@dedicatedtogamers nailed it.
I spent many years as a PC gamer. I love Valve and think they are easily up there with Firaxis, Blizzard and iD as the most important studios in the history of PC gaming.
A lot of games that are attributed to Valve weren't actually Valve games. Counter-Strike, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress were all either mods or based on mods.

I wish people wouldn't bring up the bugs thing, either. Valve had a really bad period back in the d...

Agree. As someone who's getting a ps4 though I would rather not see Microsoft drop the mandatory Kinect. To me the idea is still new and there are ideas for Kinect that have yet to become realized. Unless ps4 wins install base by a landslide, which I highly doubt, Kinect is the only opportunity to test bed ideas that could end up being staples of the modern gaming experience down the road. If devs can make something with popularity and acclaim on Xbox One, bringing it to ps4 will only net...

It's 25% more expensive than ps4, but that seems to matter 110% to those who aren't buying one anyway.
I'm buying a ps4, but I wouldn't necessarily call it cheaper. If you factor in that I already have the companion device plus I will probably buy the camera, then I will have spent more than an Xbox One costs. Obviously those are things I didn't/don't have to buy, but to get all the features that the system provides, you do have to pay more than an Xbox One.

I agree with Septic for the most part.I differ in that I too was a PC gamer, but I didn't opt for Xbox when I jumped back to consoles. I went for Sony because I wanted to get a different kind of experience from a console.

Love the avatar by the way. I spent many hours into CPMA and orange smoothie. I always thought it was a shame that Unreal seemed to have an easier time maintaining a casual community than Quake.
I'm glad there are others out there who are/wer...

The number of units doesn't matter at this point. Interpret this as a business tactic; it's been used before, and it will be used again. Marketing is all about appearances. Everyone knows that tactics like this are used to show off consumer interest and to try to help get people off the fence when another round of preorders comes out. It shouldn't matter to the average gamer if it's ten thousand or ten million units. Unless, of course, the goal is to use non-cemented preorder ...

The most scary thing in TLOU for me was fearing that Joel might some how get back to see the birthday card from his daughter. I probably would have wept uncontrollably.

@slampunk thank you.

Just to clarify, I've beaten The Last Of Us myself. Just once though, I don't want to wear the game out with extra playthroughs yet. I plan on revisiting it down the road.
What I posted before was a quote from the article. Simply implying that the author sounds like a pretty casual gamer.

Action platformers have been good selling mainstays for Sega, Nintendo and Sony consoles since their existence. They should be considered one of the pillars of gaming. Forget what's selling, not everyone plays the top sellers like Call of Duty.

I know I will buy it and enjoy it.

It was one of those things that stuck in my mind when I saw both the Xbox One reveal and E3. The licensing of digital media up here really is ridiculous. Pandora, Spotify, Google Music, Hulu Plus, proper Netflix, the list just goes on. Before the big DRM switcheroo you got the sense that proxying would not help either. If anything, you could say Canadian law is a -1 or negative strike against Xbox One. (Ps4 as well, of course, except Sony didn't push ps4 as hard in this area)

My money is on Gamescom. Teasing from Sony aside, if they don't put a real push behind Vita before ps4 launch, they probably wouldn't be able to properly try again until next summer or later. News coverage of next gen rapidly changes (at least the majority of) from hype and marketing to sales numbers, stocking stuffers, shortages and reviews once that release date goes by. One exception I can think of would be a heavily discounted sale or bundle for black Friday, though I still don...

I'm probably gonna mod/hack the heck out of my ps3 when I get my ps4. Lower end Linux desktop/media center with gaming capabilities for work? No question.

I'm with you. All of the "next gen" features are massively exciting. I couldn't even handle waiting for day two.

"Next gen" implied that many of the features are not new in general, just new to, and definitely wanted on, consoles. I'm finally going to get the casual aspect of console gaming with the functionality of pc gaming. Dedicated servers have been normal for pc since before Microsoft had any dealings in game consoles and Sony was still o...

Yeah a return of crash would much more likely be multiplatform than exclusive.
