Man, you're at Season 5? That's awesome. I'm still trying to master swapping between the mech and ship in Season 2. They are two completely different beasts, and I'm still trying to determine which is best in certain situations. I feel like the mech is easier to maneuver, but the the ship packs more firepower. Mech gameplay is fun as hell though when you grapple an enemy and pummel it with my sword!
Oh definitely, it's one of those games where you're both super pissed yet laughing when you die. It's challenging but every time I've died, it's because I put myself in a bad position. It makes me want to try harder and get better at it. There are moments though when everything clicks and you're kicking ass, and that's when you start to see how fun it really is.
It's definitely a hard game that's for sure, and I can see how the control scheme would be off-putting to some. Personally I've enjoyed my experience so far, even though I'm still grinding my way through season 2, I'm learning from my mistakes and picking my battles wisely, and avoiding confrontation when possible.
If they really wanted these beta's to be effective, they'd reward the people who actually take the time submit thorough feedback. You'd get a ton of feedback, especially from the majority of gamers who typically just play the beta as a preview of whats to come.
They did a great job and Scalebound is one of my most anticipated games next year after seeing that gameplay. 2016 is shaping up to be a huge year for gamers!
I'll be curious to see what your thoughts are on the game. I know you're a big fan of platformers, and this one is pretty damn good.
Same here, waiting until they're all out
Yes, you really do!
I've downloaded quite a few off iTunes already!
Ugh, another episodic title that piques my interest. There are so many of these I want to play, but with releases scattered out a months at a time, it's hard to justify committing to them until all the episodes are out. I really want to pay Life is Strange, but now this one looks pretty good too. I won't be able to touch any of these until early next year with all the big title coming out between now and Hitman (Dec 8th)
Once you get a feel for the controls, everything comes together. Some really intense combat and beautiful art. Upgrades are game changers
N++ will require some time adjusting to the physics based controls, but once you get it down, it's extremely rewarding. There are some incredibly hard levels to get through, but like the author of the review said, the real challenge comes from trying to collect all the gold in each level. There were a few levels where I'd say to myself "No F'ing way will I be able to get those pieces!". It's awesome that you have the ability to watch your friends replays through area...
There's my cue....well done, Sony! :)
It is a very pretty game that's for sure, some of the views from high on top of the buildings are impressive. Uppercut Games definitely has a good grasp on the Unreal Engine
It's not a perfect game by any means, but it is indeed beautiful in motion and the story of Miku (the protagonist) is actually quite good. It's a good step in the right direction for a genre that is often overlooked. Would like to see more from Uppercut Games
I don't play Zen Pinball probably as much as I should but some of these tables just look amazing. The attention to detail is really impressive and brings each table to life.
I don't know my dude, there are over 2000 levels to complete, not to mention a level creator that is available to everyone; co-op (local); the ability to watch everyone else's replays, and a sick soundtrack. Toss in the PS Plus discount and you may be surprised by how much quality content you're getting here. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the game should you decide to take the plunge!
I was getting my butt kicked early on, especially when trying to snag all the gold on each level, but this game has sunk its claws in me. This seriously might be the single best gaming soundtrack ever. Sucks there isn't an official soundtrack to purchase, but you can buy all the songs individually from the artists themselves. Has anyone come close to completing all the boards yet?
The Vita version - for the most part - works just as well. Obviously it doesn't run as smoothly as the console versions, but it still maintains it's appealing art style without any obvious concessions. The other negative would be the long load times as the game generates new maps. It's takes much much longer than its PS4 counterpart. Still, it's hard to complain about load times with the cross-save feature allowing you to take the game on the road to continue your current play...
I was intrigued by Scalebound when it was first announced, but after seeing that gameplay trailer at Gamescom, I'm excited as all hell. Battling alongside a dragon, taking out knights, double teaming other beasts, with club music playing looked (and sounded) bad as hell. That has since muscled it's way into my my most anticipated games of 2016! And because I know you're curious lol:
