I'll be the first to admit, I thought Tomb Raider would've ended up similar to TitanFall; A console exclusive but also appearing on PC. I still plan on picking it up in November for Xbox One, but I'm glad there will be a PS4 version at some point. I just hope it reviews really really well because that will directly impact how well it sells on the PlayStation 4 during the always busy Holiday season next year.
I actually just started playing this yesterday, and you're right about the presentation (mood, visuals, soundtrack). It's a beautifully-eerie setting and I really dig that. I'm not much more than a half hour, and one scene kind of threw me through a loop, but I'm definitely hooked on it so far. Hoping to play through it more tonight!
That puzzle at the 38:00 mark was seriously ridiculously hard! Trying to line up colored blocks that are behind a pane of glass that is multicolored which in turns makes the blocks behind it look like a different color is so tough. That's the first of 3 or 4 hidden puzzles that you have to find in each sector. The game has a stylish look to it and is pretty fun so far, but it's definitely lacking the personality of the Portal games. The story is pretty interesting thus far, but geez, ...
I spent my fair share of time exploring tons of levels in LBP & LBP2 back in the day. Some of the levels I played through blew my mind. I can only imagine the amount of time it took some of these gamers to create some of those levels.
I really wish I had the time to delve deeper into these games, but I lack the patience needed to create some of the totally awesome levels that others have. That's always been pretty much the main draw in my opinion, is exploring all the highly-rated levels that gamers make. The horror themed levels are a personal favorite. Maybe one day I'll pick up LBP3, but as of right now, there are just too many games coming up to justify starting this one up. Glad to see it's still getting D...
I'm with you, that ending had me like "Whoa! What the...?", so I too am excited to find out more about whats going in Part 2.
I'm curious, what were your thoughts on that Crying Baby test? I don't know about you but that one was waaaay out there in terms of it's solution. Thoughts?
These moody, atmospheric games are so damn immersive thanks to their sound designs, but it's the stories that seem to jump up and surprise you. This has elements of The Swapper, Grim Fandango, and Counter Spy; all good games to drawn inspiration from. Really can't wait for the sequel that has since been confirmed by Over The Moon Games to be in development.
Without a doubt. It's one of the most fun games I've played in 2015 and I keep thinking about it when I'm not playing it. Hopefully everyone downloads this now while its free on PSN, but even if they don't, it's well worth the $19.99 price tag.
55 is way too young for anyone, still can't get over how sudden this happened.
There are quite a few challenging puzzles in this game but the "Crying Baby" test is easily one of the hardest ones I've ever had to solve!!
I can tolerate the loss of this Mighty No. 9 CE....but if Amazon F's with my Pipboy Edition, this WILL become a post-apocalyptic world! You can screw with Mighty No. 9, just don't F with Fallout 4.

Calmer than you are
As you can see in the list of pending submissions, it's a known issue, they aren't flagging right now; hopefully it'll be fixed soon. I wouldn't be surprised if they did start flagging though once we can add pics. N4G has been a mess these past two weeks.
If you dig casual and hardcore games alike, enjoy strong narratives, and have a liking for creepy games, I can't recommend this game enough :) It won't be for all gamers, but there will be a select group of them who will really enjoy and appreciate what the developers were going for.
Yep, got my email a couple of hours ago. Totally sucks, but it is what it is.
Yeah, it is strange, I mean some scenes look smooth, but for the most part this feels like maybe it's an unlocked 30? Tough to say, but like you said, if games like Battlefield and Battlefront can run at 60fps with all the things happening in those games, I have to believe they can make it happen in a golf game. Who knows though, maybe there is more going on then we know.
"Never knew Kevin Smith was a gamer" - Really? Come on man, I'm WAY fatter than Kevin Smith, LOL! I agree though, EA Access has been a pretty good deal; happy I subscribed! The discounts and early access, as well as the always increasing Vault are well worth it.
It's not a bad game, some of the controls feel a little different compared to previous installments, but I'm really curious to see how fans of the series react to the lack of courses (20+ down to 12; 8 real & 4 fantasy) as well as some of the staple modes that are missing; many of which people really enjoyed (Clubhouse and custom tournaments). Unless those features aren't included in the Early Access version offered by EA and will appear on Day 1, it's really a bummer.
I'm with you dude, I was getting pwned early and often, but once I got a feel for the flow of battle, and didn't just bust into guns blazing, I too started racking up more kills. There is something addicting about this game, and that's gotta stand for something good.
I haven't sensed too much repetitiveness yet, hoping that doesn't become the case either. I usually warp between the 4 continents because the aesthetic differences alone are enough to keep things fresh. And yes, I agree, getting killed by spawning vehicles can be frustrating indeed, even though I've only had it happen a few times.
Until last week, it wasn't confirmed for PS4 either. I don't think it was confusion as much as it was speculation about whether it would arrive on PS4 or not. We all know it had "a duration" to its exclusivity, but it could've easily meant it would be coming to PC (and not PS4) at some point. Regardless, it was never confirmed to be coming to PS4 until last week. Thankfully, the speculation and confusion has been squashed, and now we all know.
