You would think so! :)
"The f*** you talking about?"
Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup!
I won't disagree with your, because that's your opinion and I respect that everyone has one. I don't think I'm "stunted" though, but if labeling people helps make it easier to make your point, it's all good. My initial impressions upon firing up the game was that it looked extremely good at 1080p60, the way it popped off the screen and the silky smooth animation. Compared to the last-gen version (PS3) I played, it's leaps and bounds better. I'm assuming y...
Really? I thought we had some pretty good energy for this show. None-the-less, we appreciate all forms of feedback and we'll address it going forward! Thank you for your input! :)
@unoriginalplayer
I will give Visceral Games credit for how they tried going with the gritty cop show by episode approach. They do a great job nailing the gritty, seedy, drug world theme, it's just the way the story itself bombs out about half way through, it's like they ran out of ideas and took the clichéd easy way out. I'd like to see Visceral get another shot down the road. Like you, I think they're a talented group capable of creating awesome stories...
After getting burned hard by the technical disaster that was Battlefield 4 and then the underwhelming experience I had with the Alpha and Beta for Hardline, I went in with extremely low expectations. Having spent over 25 hours with the online since launch, I still can't get over how well the multiplayer side of Hardline has held up so far. In my experience, I haven't endured anything remotely close to the the sh*tfest that plagued Battlefield 4. That's not to say other people aren...
Even though I didn't get to review the actual game, I can confirm the soundtrack is fricking awesome, reminds me a lot of Hotline Miami's. Still can't get over the fact that one guy created this game and its soundtrack. Some seriously talented developers out there!
@MrDead I'm excited right along with you!
It's currently on sale for $39.99 on Amazon and probably for even less if bought used. At that price, I think it's a little easier to pitch to those gamers who expect a full package (mp, coop, etc) when they purchase a game. They'd still be getting a technically impressive game that has a engaging story though, and to some gamers, that's all they need.
@ Spotie
We definitely justified that score, had you read the reviews you'd see that 3 of us played through it and we all offered up our opinions on it. I would love for you to take the time and share with us all how you'd justify the 5/5 rating you obviously believe it deserves. I know you're trolling, and if that's your thing, it's all good. It's just that comments like yours without any form of substance are played out and kind of boring now. Hope...
I wouldn't go as far as to say it was a total misfire. The game is a technical marvel (audio and visual), and the story was pretty engaging. I just think the pacing was in issue in quite a few chapters, and there wasn't enough gameplay for being a video game. I think if they build and improve on the concept it can evolve into a pretty spectacular franchise. I'm pretty excited at the idea of a sequel.
I wasn't the one who reviewed the game, but I share their discontent about how you have to focus on the gamepad 95% of the time as opposed to enjoying the gorgeous graphics on an HD monitor. Challenging game though
Has anybody tried out all the heists yet? If so, how do they compare to the Prison Break heist in terms of difficulty and variety? I hoping to play through the others tomorrow and this week!
I wish there was a demo as well because the more people that get their hands on this game, the better! They would only need to include a few level 3-4 missions and people would be sold on paying $19.99 for it!
The game seems to be working much better now since they've released update 1.03, though it sounds like Arrowhead Games is still fine tuning the cross-play functionality. Overall, the game just keeps getting better and better. Really happy to see this game getting the recognition it deserves. It's right up there with Ori and the Blind Forest (another downloadable title!) as one of the best games released so far this year IMO.
Ugh, the amount of games launching this month is ridiculous! I can't stop playing Helldivers, but now I need to budget my time to fit in Hotline Miami 2, Ori and the Blind Forest, and maybe try my hands at DmC. I never played the latest entry, but I've heard lots of good things about it. What's everyone looking to get their hands on this week?
Affirmative! With cross chat as well! It's really fricking awesome!
That's one thing that really impressed me, was the level of planning that is required in order to make it through a mission cleanly.
@vishmarx
I made that very mistake early on. I was playing around and thought it would be cool to try it out and call someone in, just to see what it was all about. The Blood Starved Beast was just up ahead and I hadn't even fought him once yet. We both went in and it was over in seconds. I was pretty disappointed because I didn't have that same "F-Yeah" experience I had when it beat Cleric Beast and Father G.
