Did people not get his point. I thought he was simply making the statement that it doesn't matter whether you win or not. Making games you enjoy and playing them is what matters...not some stupid awards.

I agree. But then I shouldn't mention any Xbox game as it doesn't have any since they're all on PC.

Xbox has changed the landscape and since I mention their games I saw no reason not to mention and do the same with PlayStation.

Btw I thought console exclusive meant simply that it isn't on other consoles but is on PC since PC is not a console.

For it's first year of a console...nah. PlayStation has had 5 titles and all of them are worth it.

Not including 3rd party times exclusives and 3rd parties in general.

I don't know of any other year where PlayStation had a better lineup of games.

Demons souls, astrobot, spiderman, ratchet, and returnal

Then you had the great Kena and well...if you're into it...deathloop.

With you on the saving grace of dread. Have yet to play it but would love to do so soon. It's the only reason the switch would have gotten used this year.

For me first year of consoles has been awesome.

Since getting the PS5 I was able to play demons souls remake, astrobot, miles morales, ratchet and clank, and returnal.

On my laptop I've been able to play halo infinite on game pass. And...well that's about it on the Xbox side. There was also psychonauts 2 but idk ..maybe I'm not into the IP. Had tried several times with psychonauts 1 but didn't manage to stay interested. Solid game though. ...

Really? This year xbkx had Forza and halo. Again. Oh and a flight simulator.

While PlayStation had returnal and ratchet.

I know which id rather play.

@pots
Deathloop is a PlayStation console exclusive so howd you gather it as an Xbox game. Xbox had nothing to do with that game. And psychonauts 2 is also on PlayStation...again how'd you gather that as an Xbox game...really bizarre arguments.

Considering the series s is still found pretty much everywhere I'm not all too impressed. In fact it bodes badly for Xbox since they're still not able to outsell playstation even with a cheaper and available console.

Just shows where the huge demand really is.

Well at least they clearly acknowledge that not everyone loves the campaign direction of halo infinite. Good list though.

Some people are really huge Xbox fans and completely disregard and disagree with any negative comment regarding Xbox games...understandable since they haven't had any big titles in many years

If halo isn't regarded as the best thing since toast then they'd have to face more years of a nothing burger. Halos mutliplayer is good. And yes the PC performance is questionable considering it's an Xbox one game.

That's the good thing about gamepass. The few exclusives that get released you don't have to pay for

1483d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Right. Halos one environment looks gorgeous! Wait...it's actually a pretty dead looking environment. Compare that with the biomes in returnal. Living and breathing environments.

So returnal has better environment design.

Let's go to gameplay. They're both shooters. One is their personal ND the other is 1st person. One is practically the same as last halos and the other is fresh new take on bullet hell that hasn't been done at this level b...

It would be good to see actual starfield and red fall gameplay soon

Already talking about a ps5pro.....okay. Gamers are doomed.

Well the whole description nails it on the head regarding the gunplay. But it's funny how it doesn't mention the campaign at all which is my issue with it.

I personally liked halo 4 because if the campaign story. It felt more than the typical robotic chief. It felt like it had age and it had great dialogue between chief and Cortana.

Not really. I haven't paid them much attention as I happen to have tons of GameStop credit and getting gamepass for free is easyso I tend to stay around those systems nowadays simply because I don't like to use actual money to buy games. Don't really have much of a budget for it now.

Haven't tired it yet. But was looking forward to some cool world with awesome combat.

Really? So little guy here likes to look at peoples comment history and then pretend like I'm some kind of Sony fan when I give them flak as well. Did you actually look at the comments or can you not read.

So to reiterate based on my comment history. I don't like open worlds...mostly. as I said. From Sonys studios I have barely liked any open worlds. Please name me one that I've loved that has a ubsioft like open world. Go ahead smartass.

The smaller open areas were substantially smaller. Something like Dishonored is a game with open areas. Halo just had some big rooms. Granted mixing those big rooms with halo infinite traversal would have been great.
It probably would have helped make the grapple shot be more effective. I used it in combat to engage and to flee but rarely did it feel like the environment welcomed it. Other than combat unused to to traverse faster by mixing in the slide. Quickly making me realize how...
