TBH, mechs that fly and fight with swords isn't really my cup of tea. Another title I think should get another shot is Chromehounds, and I'm surprised that Sega never made another one.
Agreed. We'll see how Anthem fares first, but I have a feeling that even that is going to set us all up for the same disappointments we've seen in Dragon Age and Mass Effect recently. I just don't believe that Bioware has the talent they need to produce games like they used to.
When have they not copied the success of someone else's innovations?
This is why Mech Assault/Warrior needs to return.
Mad Dog McCree and Night Trap are actual "video" games. This one is just like all the rest.

I didn't say that the game didn't experience delays related to the campaign. I was addressing the entire timeframe for the games development. The campaign wasn't shown until 2017, but the cloud physics were shown in 2014. The Cloudgine engine was being developed first. The campaign experienced delays due to quality issues. Both aspects, yours and mine are true.
Also, I was not implying that the campaign was started after Cloudgine...
This isn't just about Crackdown. They're doing the same thing with Dead Rising 2. Also, people who are arrogant would be on the rooftops talking about how great they are...
Here's a quote from a more in depth article that isn't cherrypicking Crackdown 3 info:
"Yet for all the high-profile projects Sumo works on, the studio itself often misses out on the attention. This is most especially felt with projects on which it's not the ...
@ cleft5
"...overly long development times has been a very good indicator that a game will not be good. What are they doing with Crackdown that it needs to take this long?"
Most, if not all, of the early work was being done on Cloudgine development. The Cloudgine engine was a concept at that time, one that happened to partner with the Crackdown devs in order to help make their concept into a functional engine for a real game. When the engine w...
Rereleases shouldn't even be an option. Consoles should be able to play old games.
Ironically, the game is infinitely less expensive than a single lesson...
Their Gamerscore was ruined by one point... face palm...
It's the only point they made, apparently, because complaining about it like this in an article is pointless. Seriously, OCD much? It's just a number on your dashboard...
It doesn't say that in the article, basically making your comment useless without a source for where you got your information.
CDPR just lost half of its customers by making a game that engages peoples intellect, lol. Most people don't have time to be smart anymore... that's what their phones are for!
"It's got electrolytes, it's what plants crave..." - Idiocracy
Thanks for your infinite wisdom, but iirc Halo 5 charges $0 for any of the DLC for Halo 5 MP so I'm not sure where you're getting this idea from. Also, if SoT is anything to go by then it's reasonable to assume that if there's any SP expansions for Infinite that they'll also be free.
Excatly! It's not a back seat... it's a new vehicle.
Playground certainly has the right people in place to make a great game. Hopefully they can work well together as a team through great leadership and turn out an amazing game!
You realize PS Now is a horrible example of Game Streaming? Game Pass is 100% uncompromised gameplay while PS Now is missing so much of the original titles and has problems with lag. Whatever MS is doing with Scarlett will easily outperform PS Now in every way possible because when they launch it will be done right.
They've been smart about HW and services which is why they backed off of VR/AR too. They want that tech to be done right too and it's not there yet. ...
@ Ultra
They always were the future and even 3rd party companies like Ubisoft are talking it up now.
Since you brought PS Now up though, it's a great idea that's poorly implemented and people generally look at PS Now as an example of a game streaming service done wrong. MS doesn't even have a streaming service yet and wisely chose the downloadable format for Game Pass because it works now. They are talking about game streaming as a part of...
Mee too. If you do something in real life you get better at it. It would be kind of weird if my cooking got better when I practiced playing the guitar... I wonder why that style became popular in video games anyways?
Agreed!
I think that RE2 wisely takes the heart of RE and applies modern technology to that gameplay formula. From RE4 on up Capcom threw out everything that made RE what it was, so while I'm glad that they had concerns about this release I wish they never opened up the RE4 can of worms that nearly killed the franchise.
