@ Kornholic
Windows is the platform, not Xbox and PC, that's why you can buy one copy of the game and it will Play Anywhere. That's also why it's not available on Steam even though steam distributes PC games, and why you don't get the PC version of Battlefield when you buy the Xbox version. I didn't expect people like you would understand logic though...
MS also has Play Anywhere and Backwards Compatibility, Forwards Compatibility with future titles, and 4K bluray support, and six new studios to make new games (soon to be seven now that Playground is hiring for their third one). Now they're gearing up Azure to implement a streaming service that actually works.
I guess if you don't cite all of Microsoft's strengths then you could make it appear that Sony is more consumer friendly, but this is reality and they...
It's exclusive to the Windows platform and Xbox Live.
@Carl
Forza Horizon's demo has been out for a while... Which means anyone could have played it by now.
Stay on topic.
"They could have just closed up shop and left their customers with nothing."
That sounds like a breach of contract for people who paid for the full game in advance.
That's what people who don't really care about MS do when they come into MS related threads... start arguments.
It's showing people how to do 1st person RPG's, and how to take risks by making the game the way they want to...
Besides, have you played it yet?
Rockstar has more balls than just about any other developer and now they have the physics to back it up! They aren't horsing around with pushing the limits of what's acceptable... or maybe they are...
EGM and GamePro FTW!!!
I was addicted to those mags as a kid, and I' like a kid at Christmas now with the info about this game and knowledge of CDPR's pedigree.
I'm with you on this one!
@ Tyler
Who cares about VR? It's a languishing failure at this point... barely passable as a tech demo... and MS needs games for the Xbox more than some expensive party favor that makes you look like a reject jacked into The Matrix.

Playground games goes so far as to call MS friends:

I wouldn't expect the same Fable as before, with the people that have been hired on so far. With the talent I'm seeing, I have a feeling it'll have a similar charm and art style, but be more focused on RPG and combat.
Check out this article about the talent and you'll see why I feel this way:

... and people wonder why Japanese games don't sell on Xbox. This literally makes no sense other than to hate on something.
@ Winter Hill
It's a single player game so why would it be always online? The only need to be online would be to download content since there's no multiplayer component. Seems like you're getting mad over nothing at this point...
Couldn't agree more!
I recently got an intelligent charger for $10, and 4 new AA's for about the same (the one's I bought for my 360 finally crapped out). The new AA's that I have in my XB1 controller can power my controller for 40 hours, and at least 20 with my stereo headset powered up. That's 80 hours of gameplay and a charger that's good for all the other stuff I need batteries for like remotes and flashlights for about $20.
I see what you did there... "remotely competent"... ;P
On topic, your solution for convenience is to buy a second controller? I don't know about all that for a few seconds of convenience. It's your choice but I'm just not seeing the value in it.
- Grab a set of AA's and you're good in 10 seconds and you don't even have to get off the couch if you keep them handy.
- Grab a charge cable and you're good in 10 seconds...
And here I was happy I didn't have to listen to people defend Sony's anti-consumer practices anymore... but they just move the conversation to something else negative to say about Microsoft instead.
