"Just because this remake has gone over-the-shoulder doesn't mean that it also has a shooter focus. This is something we really want to make clear – we want people to separate in their minds what an over-the-shoulder game is and what a shooter is. Resident Evil 2 2019 is over-the-shoulder plus survival horror. Which is actually a kind of an unprecedented combination for the series."
Freaking awesome!!!
You're welcome! Too bad you're the loser with your sad attempt at trolling...
LOL is right. The irony of corroios post is that they seem to care enough about SoT to be the first one to comment (and comment in most other SoT articles), yet they post another ignorant remark about stuff that, in this instance, was even addressed in the article (which they obviously weren't even interested enough in to read).
On topic, I appreciate that Rare doesn't want to follow others and wants to continue to evolve a unique experience for SoT players for a l...
I have to agree with most of your post. From my perspective though it's at least going up in value the more I see of it. I'm about 50/50 on Anthem right now, but it at least looks more enjoyable than some of Bioware's more recent releases. I'm going to have to wait until release to really make a choice.
The 1X will be Ultra Gorgeous then?
Um, you also spelled Scarlet with one "L" and failed to realize that both you and the image spelled it incorrectly(Vs. MS' code name).
MS spells it Scarlett, with two t's.
MS is talking to developers about what they want in a console... developers make games for gamers to play. You still haven't figured this out yet?
Too Bad.
@ edito
Rushing? I guess you didn't know that the 1X was being developed alongside the XB1, or that as soon as development of one console finishes that the next console is already in the design phase. The latter is true of any console manufacturer. The former is true of Scarlett, since MS announced that Scarlett "consoles" are being architected.
At any rate, there's been no mention of release dates by MS with regards to Scarlett so qu...
How can anybody fail to see the amount of effort MS is putting into games and support at this point?
They doubled their studios a month ago, are still planning to have more 1st party studios added in the future, and are now working closely with Japanese developers who aren't making their 3rd party games for XB1 to get them on board for next gen...
@ Hardiman
Thanks for taking me down memory lane! Castlevania on NES/Super, Mega Man, and stuff like Duck Tales were all a lot of fun. When the companies stopped making side-scrollers is about when I lost interest, but RE was the one notable exception.
I guess I shouldn't have said never a big fan... I just haven't been for many years. Western devs took over for me around the N64 days and I never looked back!
@ disagrees
Man you guys are ignorant. Try educating yourself sometime and you would know that things like physics, lighting, and AI are tolerant of latency in gaming.
@letsa_go
You'll be hearing a lot more about THE beast and THE cloud, because the 1X will continue to outperform the Pro by wide margins and the cloud will revolutionize MP gaming.
BTW, I was hoping we wouldn't have to hear about DA BEAST and DA CLOUD anymore too, but too many ignorant people keep bringing it back up all the time. Oh well, maybe someday these ignorant trolls will grow up!
Funny about that too, because when Sony launched the PS3, Kutaragi slammed MS for not having it and boldly stated that as long as there was a PS it would have BC. A year or so later they removed the feature, without letting customers know (its' removal wasn't stated on the box), and when asked about why they removed it they cited the same reason MS gave for not including it in the first place.
I guess Ken just lied about BC in order to slam MS and make PS3 look bet...
It's a pain to get old systems out and hook them up, a cluttered mess if you leave them all hooked up, and becoming difficult to find a TV that even supports analog sources any longer. Sure, MS doesn't have a full library of BC and they never will because of licensing, etc. (Too Human comes to mind), but MS is committed to making every game on the XB1 compatible with future consoles automatically so in the future they'll have full BC as a standard.
Right now th...
Technically, almost everything about PGR has been integrated into Forza Horizon at this point, even "Kudos", although I do miss the challenges (cone, passing, etc.). Even Rallisport Challenge is being incorporated into FH to a degree. Playground is on point with sim-arcade racing!
I wish Konami would have realized this. While I was never a big fan of Capcom or Konami games personally, Konami was a great publisher that should never have ended up in the position they are now and their fans deserved better.
Some of the shots looks gorgeous, but a lot of them look "plastic-ey" and flat. The parking lot screen with the guy in the wheelchair is one that doesn't look so hot. Honestly though, considering how big the game is and all that you can do, the game is really impressive overall and I'm just being a bit critical.
Cloud enhanced MP gaming is where the tech will shine first. Since MP is already online only, it's sensible for latency independent processes (things which can tolerate the lag) to be handled by the cloud servers while latency dependent functions are still handled by the local console.
Epic know this to be true which is why they bought Cloudgine.
I see what you're saying now, Mr. Writer, and I have to agree with you as well. I apologize for the misunderstanding.
@ letsa_go
Speaking of ignorant, here you are again. Did you try to read past the headline? Obviously not, because you didn't even have to follow the link to find this quote:
"It's interesting where you can take PvP in the game, but we'd want to put a unique Sea of Thieves spin on it and do something completely surprising."
Seriously, why even bother to post if you don't care enough about the topic to educat...
