Pro, because it can't handle native 4K for its' 1st party titles and still has less than a dozen total native releases. MS has more 1st party titles in 4K already and it's not even out yet.
They said latency is, "near zero".
The cpu on the Pro is an upclock.
Scorpios' competition is actually the GTX1080 @ 9tf though, since that's what's needed to hit 4K60 on Ultra with a PC in Forza 6.
60 specialized modifications to jag/polaris apparently affects the overall efficiency of the system though, because it's 40% more power on paper but 120% more power in practice. I guess tf isn't the only number that makes a console powerful after all...
Christpoher, are you serious right now?
Forza 6 is actually hitting 4K60 on Ultra with Scorpio and is directly competing with a 1080 in performance running the same graphics on a PC. I think you need to keep to yourself until you read about how the machine functions, because you honestly contradict everything the reveal showed. Hell, they specifically added the DX hardware to remove the bottleneck you claim will still be there.
Once again here to downpl...
That's how a 2:1 ratio works. Just figure that out?
On paper, yes. On paper, Scorpio isn't powerful enough to get 900p games up to Native 4K either, but it will. MS made more than 60 improvements to ALL areas of performance to BALANCE the hardware. Probably why nobody is talking about it... it's not an issue like some people will believe it is.
DragonbornZ, plus 4K DVR capture.
Just want to remind you, Kryptic, that MS overdelivered on every promise made about Scorpio. They are also promising more games at E3. I think you should just calm down and wait until E3 already. I'll help you bash MS afterwards if they don't bring it at E3 this year. Deal?
Most people have a problem with you Butcher TROLL... but I don't know why... /sarcasm.
Yeah Ok...
I think you should take a step back and watch the video. It mentions 4K Assets specifically. There is such a thing as 4K assets. Wasn't Fallout's 4K PC texture pack close to 60GB? Aren't textures considered assets?
If we were playing Jeopardy, you would have lost. The correct answer is: What are 4K textures?
Christocolus, Don't forget that they have enough power to get 900p games to run Native 4K too, and that MS "overdelivered" on ALL it's promises. Off topic, but MS is promising to focus on games too so maybe this time they mean it! Anyways, it's freaking ridiculous that they customized nearly every part of the machine, more than 60 components, yet based it off the XB1 hardware so well that Turn 10 got Forza 6 running in 4K with 4K assets in just 2 days.
If you do play the first one, be prepared to be amazed at how easily you get sucked into the world. It's like playing The Walking Dead as a game. I, for one, am eagerly awaiting SoD2 because it has coop on top of everythine else that makes the first one so great.
Andrew, I must have forgotten that if t's not Sony it's not good. I like how you're arguing about upscaled PS2 games but think BC is unimportant. Oh well...
It looks a lot like Borderlands on 360, if you're being honest.
Big Pappy, if rumors about MS patenting HW tech for Scorpio are true, it will have 60% more output than an equivalent PC. That's nearly 10tf of actual compute capability out of a 6tf GPU.
Isn't patching only going to get done on old titles though? Newer games will be made to work on both without patching, so I'm not sure about the relevance of the author's opinion.
Nevertheless, here's a lesson from teacher now...
BLOCK!
Vet, because everything Sony tries to expand into fails to catch on. Only their home consoles are worth anything. Let's see how well Sony supports VR at E3, but I wouldn't get your hopes up about PSVR's longevity. "Low consumer interest" is not what devs looking to support VR want to hear.
Downvote all you want, but there are articles that already confirm Scorpio is between a 1070 and 1080 GPU in terms of performance, specifically regarding Forza 6 and it's visual fidelity. When a processor can reduce thousands of draw calls down to 11, things like this happen.
