Interesting that this is supported on any DX12 HW. I wonder how much benefit it will have on the OG XB1?
In combination with all of the new studios, switching to a 4 year cycle further points to MS breaking the traditional cycle of Forza, Halo, Gears. At any rate, I'm glad that FM7 is getting longer support since every two years was a little to close together for my tastes, considering how much there is to unlock by playing each of the games.
Here's the cliff notes for those who are interested:

Nope. Pro version is missing texture details as well as draw distance and resolution. Similar, yes, but don't kid yourself about them looking the same.
MS is concerned:

You also have to consider games like Gears Tactics, which MS said was designed only for KB/M support and therefore only coming out on PC.
Theoretically, if MS intends to continue to move towards Windows as it's platform rather than a console alone, KB/M support could also allow for programs like MS Office and Excel to run on their consoles now too.
It's not a matter of reading comprehension on our parts, Foxtrot, it's the matter of your deflection to point blame on other companies because you think they would be worse. What you said still doesn't justify why PS hasn't done anything until now.
Thanks for the response, Liqui1d, but you try too hard not to believe that people can be objective and still prefer one console over the other.
Quick to turnaround? This has been going on for well over a year already:

Liqu1d, if there's anything you'd like to talk with me about now that the discussion is relevant to F2P games here's your chance... but please don't call me a hypocrite again because you assumed too much.
Agreed! That is the most important place for them to start. One could argue that most people already have XBL Gold anyways so it's not a big deal, but they'd be missing the point. Free is free and Gold should not be required regardless.
Obviously.
Nintendo did it and then Sony did. How far back am I supposed to be remembering?
It's a generic tweet that says we're still working on it and it feels like the other games. You honestly consider that to be hype?
No. That bandwagon has already been jumped upon once.
I agree with you, but how about Sony open up console crossplay now for all the multiplatform games that devs want to make that way? They only seem to have done this because they were responsible for locking out people's accounts... and perhaps because the game is too immensely popular to be anti-consumer with.
@ Liqu1d
"There's TheCommentator showing how much of hypocrite he is. Sony refusing crossplay is anti-consumer yet damage controls MS being the only ones locking free games behind a paywall."
Sorry, but the topic is crossplay on PS4, not MS hiding F2P behind a paywall. I'll tell you what, Liqu!d, you write an article about MS hiding F2P behind a paywall and I'll tell you why I think it's wrong...
@ Eonjay
"Sony once again showing their willingness to work with the community?"
Why would you even say that? We've had so many articles about Sony not doing it that people didn't even want to hear about them any more. That's stubbornness, not willingness. Also, how is it showing willingness when Sony submitted to relentless consumer demands?
Xbox One – Up Year-on-Year 545,733 (19.7%)
PlayStation 4 – Down Year-on-Year 1,749,760 (-16.1%)
PlayStation Vita – Down Year-on-Year 383,779 (-68.0%)
So yeah, "Good job Phil and Xbox Team!”
The point here is that MS is showing improvements. No one expects an XB1 come from behind victory over PS4. These are indicative of improvements in the Xbox brand which give MS the ability to compete better come next gen though, and you shou...
