7% with a patch = no difference
30% more powerful PS4 = XB1 sucks
Neckroo91 = delusional
Sorry if I misinterpretted your comment, but it's really hard to understand your ignorance.
Careful with that arm... It would be a shame if you had to type/play games with one hand because you got hurt patting yourself on the back! Truthfully, you were speculating like everyone else and circumstantially speaking the evidence was stacked in favor of the 30-40% being for XB1. Woot! I knew the coin would land heads up, because I'm awesome, lol!!!
More on topic though, I wonder why Ian would post that in an XB1 thread, ignore a posters warnings about the reddit for...
This is just a patch, DX12 engines are going to run better than a 7% increase. In my post from the other article I agreed that we needed more clarification on the 30-40% deal. Just remember though, 7% is still a good margin of improvement for a patch. It is also important to note that in addition to the "secret sauce" group that there is the "no sauce" group on the Sony side of things saying DX12 will do nothing. Both extremes are wrong.
Back to my point, ...
You need to fix the main issue with your comment which it doesn't belong here. It belongs in the PCars thread where Ian says he can patch it to DX12 and get a 30-40% performance boost. And you're still wrong, even if the 30-40% boost was for pc.
@hellsvacancy
2AA batteries = internal? All controllers come with 2AAs in the box, lol. Reading isn't the difficult part, it's comprehension. Xaphy knows how to do both. ;)
@fareast
Why would you trade that in? It has all the controls at your fingertips instead of a stupid lanyard-style dongle. What are you gonna get anyways, $5 towards a $60 controller? I can't help but feel like you're stealth trolling with a name like that...
Half century old tech outweighs a high bandwidth digital interface? Lol.
Go be a "snow dog" somewhere else. It's hard to believe a Rush fan can be a troll. Don't you get the meaning behind their music?
@boriboy
100% wireless > usb charge cable.
One of the guards towards the beginning of that game sounds just like Marcus Fenix(and was voiced by DiMaggio).
Starbreeze worked with Tigon, Vin diesel's studio, for Riddick. What ever happened to them?
Didn't SMS copy Forza and decouple the physics framerate from the video to run it at 360fps? Physics framerate should dictate things like controller input, if I'm not mistaken so 30 fps should be fine. FH2 is only at 30 and it's great! None the less, I'm still waiting for FM6 and the DX12 patch for PCars first.
@griever
Thanks for being educated when you post. We'll definately see what Dx12 can do at E3. That said, I agree with you that it is not 100% confirmed as Xb1 related but look at the evidence:
-It is posted in an XB1 forum.
-Ian responded to being cautioned that his statement was linked to reddit(XB1) by confirming the 30-40% was not a lie.
-He had already mentioned that if PS4 could emulate DX12 it would benefit too.
-Phil mainta...
The Bouncer 2?
47 reasons I hope Square Enix is going to have a good E3.
I'm also curious to see if the rumors of an XB1 exclusive JRPG from SE are true. TBH, I don't even remember where I'd read that but it seems a bit far-fetched.
According to Morgan Freeman, research suggests that bigotry is biologically programmed as a defense mechanism to increase our chances of survivability and that we are all bigots to some degree. He found that Police officers of any race, for example, shared similar levels of bigotry against blacks when put into potentially life threatening situations. What a fascinating show he hosts!
He says after the CEO admits the 1st party line up is sparse and it's becoming difficult to lock in 3rd party exclusives! We'll see who kills it at E3 this year. MS keeps gaining momentum and Sony seems content to sit around and just be successful(which does take work to maintain). That combination makes for a slippery slope at the top of the hill, and momentum works both ways.
BTW, I just noticed you used up your bubble... so yeah, not much of a debate.
It is great that Bioware was willing to take risks with a high profile game like Mass Effect. More studios should offer choice when considering relationships in gaming, even if it is just an option at the beginning of a linear game.
I didn't realize the article was a bit further down in today's news, but it seems legit to me. Just think, if a patch gets 30% plus, just imagine a true DX12 engine will gain! I can't wait for E3!!!
@mrsec
PS4 already employs multithreading with GNM. The XB1 eSRAM, with a 1024 bit bandwidth, allows faster GPU access than GDDR5 with its 32bits. PS4 has more aces, XB1 has two CPs to run parallel processes on. They have, as you put it, added efficiency in the XB1 with the DME's and post processing elements for finalized frame data as well. It has faster CPU's that were also heavily modified. What's more, MS has been slowly adding DX12 features over time, they we...
