I wouldn't call 6tf a .5 upgrade. I wouldn't call Scorpio an Xbox Two either. What Phil said contextually when he made that statement is that he didn't want the next iteration of the Xbox brand to be an incremental upgrade, which it is not.
Video games are unrealistic to begin with. You don't die or slow down when you're shot once, can survive big falls with little to no injury, heal without medical attention, etc. There's almost never any fat people, handicapped people, gay people, etc.. Men and women are both objectified to look like they belong on magazine covers most of the time.
I could go on, but the point is that video games are unrealistic, twisted versions of reality. People complain t...
It's amazing to me, that on a console that every leading industry expert said was not powerful enough to run BC, we have games like Red Dead playing BETTER than the 360 plays them. As OpenGL points out below this is not always the case, but the fact still remains that the XB1 is capable of improving the performance on some games, and we have even seen patches for games that run slow when they first launch. It's really a great feature for collectors like me, and I hope one day to get ...
@king thrash
You're so right! I mean, MS makes me feel horrible by forcing me into a free service full of the best and most loved games of last generation by giving away two BC titles a month. I wish they had an overpriced streaming service, missing major features of the retail releases so I could make the choice to play them of my own accord. Remasters to repurchase would also be a great alternative to a free service that let's me play the games I own already, or ...
"...burn a whole in your wallet..."
It's hole, not whole
They did say it's a little bit Mega Man, not a little bit Mighty No. 9, which is a good thing. Here's to hoping you don't get fooled twice!
How is this post labelled as spam? I guess it's inappropriate to ask for more R* games now that they're on board with BC, or to praise BC for the exemplary free service it is.
Ninsigma, why are you trying to compare a paid service like PS Now to TWO free services in XB1 BC and the unification of console, PC, phones, and tablets? It really doesn't work that well unless you were trying to make PS Now look that much worse, in which case I apologize for misunderstanding. PS Now is simply awful with its high priced rentals, missing game modes, bad compression, poor quality audio, lack of voice chat and innumerable other conscessions and omissions form the original...
Cool. More new info inbound! Now if only Dualshockers could write an article with more information than is contained in the headline...
The PS4 and XB1 are both ugly consoles. One looks like it came out of the future we imagined in the 80's (think Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rodgers, V, etc.), while the other is plain enough that it blends seamlessly into your entertainment center. Personally, I'd rather have the mature styling of the XB1, than have someting that looks like an outdated kids' toy from "the future". Since I rarely look at my console though, it doesn't really matter either way.
Wait, so this guy uses Windows 7 PC's DX12 incompatibility as an excuse to complain about it? Win10 is a free upgrade even for people running hacked versions of Windows. Also, we already know that coding for XB1 is not the same as coding for PC, otherwise I would be able to play PC games on my XB1. The DX12 API does make it significantly easier to port games over using Vulkan though. This guy clearly has a bias towards Vulkan, which is fine, but making up paper thin excuses why DX12 i...
It's a poor companies' remaster...
It's not a AAA killer, that's for sure.
A 4K TV is the only way to experience HDR, and XB1S and Scorpio both support 4K upscaling as well. There's merit to Shadow Knights post beyond that of resolution alone.
No, this has been a practice for as long as there have been chains to trade in consoles. The big 3 have all worked with these retail partners at various times to offer trade in incentives towards an upgrade.
As an inventor and fabicator, I appreciate the effort that went into the mod itself. I don't like the asthetics of the mod at all though, and I think putting a disc into it would be rather awkwards with that giant flip up lid.
Whatever it's inspired by, the series has never been original in any meaningful way.
Dead serious. I hated all of the Bioshocks and Metal Gear games too. Thief, Hitman, and Deus Ex are all more enjoyable to me than Dishonored. You don't have to agree with my opinion though.
I couldn't even muster up enough strength to finish Dishonored. It was extremely unpolished and felt like a bad Thief game. Even the new Thief was more entertaining, so I'm hoping Arkane puts a lot more effort into number two.
Sewer Surfing FTW!
