It's not that I love MS... It's that I like Sony less.

I think they'll sell it at $400-500. If they sell it at $400, they'll initially take a loss, but MS can cost reduce manufacturing faster if they are using highly efficient chips like Ryzen/Vega so it could balance out in the long run. Selling at $400 for a loss would be one of the best ways to attract new customers, and new customers will likely subscribe to Live and/or Game Pass and offset those losses.

Who knows what the price will be until the unveil though? ...

Funny, I didn't realize that we consider 1440p checkerboard to be 4K now.

Realms, it was Sony who'd screwed over Nintendo by demanding a large amount of control over liscensing of games made for the Play Station add on for the SNES. What did Ninty do to Sony, stand up for themselves? Lol.

You don't understand any of this, do you? The Cloud is offloaded, meaning it ISN'T PROCESSED BY THE CONSOLE AT ALL. Cloud processing doesn't care what it's enhancing, XB1 or Scorpio, and the processors to enhance either are the same BECAUSE IT'S ON THE SERVER. Besides, what you suggest MS is doing would be false advertising. Seriously, pretend the Cloud works? Lol. I guess the developers of Cloudgine are just going to lie for MS too, but seeing as how it's 3rd pa...

The 980ti drops to around 10fps in the demo, so do you qualify that as handling the physics?

I thought the combat looked more like the other ME games or Gears than Halo. I may still pick it up, but I'm going to have to see more gameplay videos and read about it in actual reviews first.

They shall not pass... unless they season pass.

Not a good sign at all, unfortunately.

Um, Phil says you'll see proof in what they end up doing, so he's not talking about proving anything via the interview. What Phil indicates is that he hears the "no games" conversations and proof will be defined by their actions going forwards, not their words. He is essentially alluding to change coming from MS without spoiling any of this year's E3.

It's kind of funnyto me, honestly, that you want proof today of more games coming when E3 is w...

Yes, Phil just said they may have to do that. Of course you'll get disagrees from people who didn't see the interview with him yet.

Honestly, what else besides games could they show at E3 if Scorpio is unveiled beforehand?

3394d ago 10 agree10 disagreeView comment

You won't know that until MS proves what they're saying right now. If they don't prove it by showing more interest in new games at E3, you can call them out then.

Think about this though. Phil just said that they may have to reveal Scorpio before E3 because they may not have enough time to do it at the conference. You can add that to the three other big announcements this week too. Ask, if they are announcing all of this before E3, what else besides games cou...

Tyler, PS Pro is not a native 4K gaming machine. Even Cerny knew it, which is why he designed a hardware accelerator for checkerboard rendering. MS, OTOH, has maintained that they targetted native 4K when designing the Scorpio. Besides, several devs have already said that there are significant differences in power between Pro and Scorpio. One of those devs even said that Pro needed a stronger CPU/GPU for native 4K under most circumstances.

I hope Sony does follow suit, actually. Gamestop doesn't deserve it's success considering what it does to its employees in order to get it.

Bathyj is right. It was always about games AND resolution with PS4 fanboys. Here's the issue though. Now that they won't have the best graphics anymore, fanboys will cling to the quantity of games instead and will also marginalize graphics like a lot of XB1 fans have in the past. Me, I don't play games for graphics, and the minor difference between 900/1080p and checkerboard/native don't mean anything in the long run. No one walks into my house and says eww, that looks h...

5x as many badly compressed, bandwidth limited, incomplete versions of games with no way to buy the games (or their DLC) at a discount either. All for the low, low price of $19.99?

Funny, Game Pass is only $9.99 and if you do buy games off of that list then they service could possibly even save you money over buying games without said discount.

"Seems" pretty competitive, but surprise! It's actually not.

What Sony should do is not cancel PS Now for devices people already bought to use the service on. Sony should discontinue the products with PS Now functionality and move on if they want to limit compatibility to PS4/PC in the future, but instead Sony is content to screw all the people who already specifically bought a TV, Blu Ray player, or PS Vue for its' PS Now compatibility. Sony obviously doesn't care that much about the consumer who's consumed their products already (Linux ...

Technically they have, because they have 4K versions of their previous 1st party titles like Gears 4 and Forza Horizon 3 running on PC already. They just need to patch the PC assets in. I know that's not exactly what you mean though, but I suspect that MS is going for maximum impact for E3 by keeping everything game related behind a curtain.

Happens with every new format of media though. When will people learn that there's no link between normal human society and the influence of these media formats whether it be games, movies, books, music, etc.

What the world should be afraid of is the amount of influence social media has on how people view the world. People think tweets are news, for crying out loud! Worse than that, there was just a recent poll which showed that more people believed Trump over the me...

👍 All this good news coming before E3? Third thing in a week that no one knew was coming! MS has something up their sleeves if they can afford to drop these nuggets now.

BTW, I'll only call him Lord Phil if E3 is full of gaming surprises though, which I suspect is what they are doing.
