But Revive folded without a fight
And another review where its quite obvious GT6 has never been played. The online is virtually the same, the driving tests are much the same, the lobby system is much the same. Whats really different is the reduction in tracks, cars, no weather, no track editor.
But keep on spouting about this imaginary new direction eh.
Where to put the content?
In media marketing or the game
Yes there are but theyre aimed at clans, teams and not for open ingame chat. IRC chat in game was very effective compared to jumping to a 3rd party IRC chat.
And IRC chat for text, best format I have ever used.
Thats quite incredible. PC chat is practically in every single PC mp games.
Its one of the main feature that sets it above console chat systems.
How to kill a game off eh
You really should have a play of GT6 if you can. This bit about GT Sport being different is total nonsense and just a whitewash from the studio.
The online format works much the same but GT6 has 4 races options with much more race configurations and a full podium.
The singleplayer seasonal events which PD said they plan to add are also in GT6 and are being constantly updated.
There is nothing new, its all about whats missing, what hasn't been done prop...
The reviews from verified purchasers is terrible on Amazon
I would suggest it was to give value. You played the SP which maybe would last 20 hrs or so then played the mp which used to keep ppl playing for a few years or more.
The great thing was there was always new map content every day.
I really enjoyed the single player and have replayed it a number of times. The mp was fantastic and I created quite a few maps for it at the time. Its the missing user created content thats the true failure.
One thing we dont see a great deal of nowadays is the Assault style mp which I believe was 1st seen in Unreal Tournament 99.
Yeah just look how RTCW was watered down. It was terrible the way so many enjoyed playing the multiplayer and created 1000's of maps
I think its called bumper view
I owned this for a few days and it really felt unfinished ie. GT6 had properly formed rear view mirrors (the dial mode driving) but GT Sport has just a basic rectangle. The ghost car in GT6 (and in most racing games) would fade out when very close but with GT7 you are often blinded by it as it doesnt fade out.
And as for this new direction I really dont see anything new. The online Sport mode was in GT6 - just not called sport mode and the FIA bit is just a new name for wha...
What actually is different to GT6 besides just cutting back on content?
GT6 has much the same online Sport mode
Licence tests
Arcade mode
Lobbies (but more sophisticated as it supports dynamic weather and track editor)
Car livery editor
Rear view mirror (basic rectangle for GT Sport, Full mirror in GT6)
In addition
Dynamic weather system
Massive selection of editable cars with different race f...
May not have played every GT but since GT prologue and before that many PC racing games and this GT is unfinished. From the way it glides on the road surfaces, a basic rear rectangular mirror, no real time weather, no track editor, the ghost car doesnt fade out as you get close to it.
Maybe you should go back and have a GT6 refresher.
Next follows all the returns, did mine this morning.
It needs that PRO upgrade :)
I watched another comparing GT Sport, Driveclub, PC 2, Forza 7. GT Sport cars seem to just glide along the road while the other 3 were effected by road surfaces etc - and then came the wet weather comparison.
I think Sony told PD you just get it out there, 4 years late is enough.
Maybe the real answer is to replicate or even buy the Gamespy code then everybody could use unmodified clients
