And the reason PC gamers are happy to go digital is because its an open competitive market where you can buy from different competing retailer/etailers and also sell 2nd hand.
The console version seems to shout " you look like a good moron, pay us an extra 10 bucks" and lets call it ... NO you cant sell it on after you've played it

Exclusives are dying; just look at the PS3 exclusives compared to PS4
Warhawk, Lair, Socom, Resistance, Motorstorm and many more all gone

We better start demanding that the TV brands each only work with a subset of exclusive channels and books be marketed so a genre requires a human to be certified to read certain catagories.

If all PC based consoles were able to play PC based games then which hardware chosen would be down to personal taste, choice of features etc.

I'd prefer some remasters like BF2, BF1942. Much lower development costs and a lot more fun

Wow from standing up for NO MT to Blair the War criminal did in just a few posts - impressive!

"it simply was everything the final version of Destiny had to offer – and more" REALLY???? After the campaign (which I enjoyed) the rest felt like far less than D1 such as no upgrading for factions, weapons, armour, even Iron Banner was pointless. The only thing that D2 has to offer from D1 is that most of it was copy n paste then a re-skin for different worlds.
By the time you'd finished the campaign you were likely to be level 20 and this expansion just goes to le...

I need another Grid like game :)

You only have look at the wide range of games being sold in the 80' for Apple, Atari 8 bit and Commodore. The offerings were huge yet the market was relatively small.
Now the market is absolutely massive yet the selection of games is quite small due to the dominance of EA and Activision.
If you want real choice again you have to head to the tablet market!

They can cost as much as movies because of the moronic spending. It's not a movie, it's a computer game; DICE created BF1942 with a team of 14, Epic had a team of 16 for Unreal Tournament 99 and so on and so on. Bungie on the other hand somehow needs a team of 750 for Destiny 2 which is a game that offers far far less in terms of gameplay.

Do games really need the services of highly paid actors for a few voiceovers? There is a wealth of better narrators from the aud...

And yet online sales have been slowing down in favor of high street stores.

Temporary just equals to two fingers up at their customers.

Well Im not buy it or other releases from EA till they change their attitude - but hell, they could always close themselves🤠

You have to wonder what sort of ppl are making these decisions and how they came to the conclusion that only temporally removing pay to win would be the solution to gamers complaints.

Its quite bizarre!

I think the price is just basically down to supporting such a small market - unfortunately I won't be enjoying VR as I'm blind one eye.

But it's like they listen with blinkered ears :)

The season passes in themselves aren't the issue for me:
it's the fact a dozen or so maps cost as much as the main game with similar amount of maps at launch
Season Passes rarely get discounted in the same level as the game
Season passes are locked behind a digital only format so not resalable 2nd hand.
And these days the main games are getting less and less maps ie. Cod WW2 ha...

What Battlefront 2? that's how it's passing me by.

Passing on CoD WW2 as only 9 multiplayer maps compared to Sledgehammers previous 16 (that's nearly half a season pass) till the price drops relatively to the content.
Passed on GT Sport as this bit about it's taking a new online direction is a lie - it's much the same as GT6 online but with different name convention (Sport instead of Online Quick Play) so again will buy when price relative to co...

Desert Combat was a hugely successful mod for BF1942 by Trauma Studios. Dice bought Trauma and the IP which was used for BF2
BF2 launches and Trauma is closed down

When you read the article what EA are really saying is that games like BF1942, BF2 etc etc had a very long life due to the huge ever increasing amount of user created content. They have made great pains to kill off this user created content in recent titles and now put forward the case for them continually offering small bits of content but with a nice profit.
They have a serious issue with gamers enjoying the games they've paid in full for and really want them to be time limited...

Dice would have gone if it wasnt for buying the team and grabbing the IP for BF Desert Combat

Just grab Tiberian Dawn Redux for Generals Zero Hour. It's really impressive and very close to the original.

"Pay-to-Win as nearly everything can be unlocked" NEARLY isn't good enough.

It's off my purchase list
