And here's all the Playstation 3 stuff you can get for the price of a PS4... erm yes this is ridiculous too!!
Crimson Skies should be top of their list :)
and just the same as in GT6 but Sport is called Online QuickPlay
There is another issue right now. HDR10 is not very accurate or flexible, Dolby Vision is the best but till very recently was quite expensive. HDR10+ is the next level which improves on HDR10. Dolby Vision has just announced that PC graphics cards can be upgraded via software rather than hardware.
So what we have is the graphics card industry deciding what to support. Quality from Dolby but at a higher cost or the cheaper but still pretty good HDR10+ (bypassing HDR10).
I think it's very impressive that it's not power just for new titles. Watching the update texture pack results for Oblivion was very impressive and this is good not just for this console but also the PC as MS intend to support upgrades for both.
The gaming industry should just kill off 30fps as it doesn't sync with any current screen technology.
I recently installed GT Sport and it turns out that the menus don't run at 60fps. Now you would think this rather unimportant as after all it's just the menus.
Unfortunately PD chose to use side scrolling (ticker tape) text at the bottom of the screen and because it's not in sync with the TV (or my PC monitor) all you see is a unreadable rubber band...
This is how its been with many PC games; you upgrade the CPU, GPU and then upgrade the game textures to make it look better. Just downloaded a texture pack update yesterday for Battlefield 2 and now it looks like the visuals of BF1.
They dont program these extras the day before and the console versions have been iut for 6 weeks ish.
Games cost what studios and publishers think they can get away with. Do we need games with endless videos or near real effect animations that require huge manpower to create? Maybe the answer is to go back and look what makes a great fun popular GAME.
Maybe blocking user content in favor of these often bland studio map packs and season passes was the wrong direction, its stripped the gaming industry of real imagination and talent.
Toca Race driver 3; Lots of different race formats (trucks, vintage, etc etc, loads of tracks, brilliant career mode, great online with lots of anti cheat options.
Just look at that rear lamp, it's perfect in every way... unfortunately due to the time taken to create the rear lamp we couldn't actually add most of the gameplay elements.... but just look at that rear lamp eh!!
The game has been deliberately starved of content. It may have a proper story which ok but the ridiculous level cap has killed this game. With such low level caps and no weapon or armour upgrading theres no replayability value.
I noticed Bungie didnt even bother with Halloween extras so I dont think its getting the love of Destiny 1
This would be quite fun if from Atari 800/XL or Commadore C64
Didnt you notice the immediate increase with the PS4 format from PS3?
I wonder if adding a psn subscription and the hike in game prices had anything to do with it?
Actually there arent many dedicated online games that just come to an end like D2 has.
I suspect it will be changed in the foreseeable future to minitransactions
"The absence of a Career is partially offset by Sport Mode, with daily competitions" and yet the very same thing is in GT6 but it's called online Quick Play - well I suppose it's a bit different as there's currently 4 race types rather than 3 available at any given time and 1st place isn't the only thing that's important (and lets not forget double the amount of tracks and umpteen cars to choose from).
Sometime in the future though single playe...
More info on Facebook page suggests the problem is just BF Heroes
Back to it's roots eh? yeah looking forward to some proper 64 player multiplayer and lets not forget those 3 separate single player campaigns......
