I'd pick it up for $20 but not at the UK price of £20, that's just ridiculous.
Sony has stated that they will replace any DS4 controller if the silicone should tear within the 1st year.
I much prefer the DS4 over the DS3 but I do find I accidentally click on R3 a lot when firing weapons playing BF4 which is frustrating.
So only temporarily will the UK be now paying the same as the rest of Europe ... Wow
Yeah I'm still lacking either a Void rocket launcher or Machine gun - got a nice void primary but it's just not powerful enough unfortunately.
You might consider it reasonable value at $20 but would you purchase it at $28 (Europe price) or even $31 (UK price)
The problem with an online game is it requires a large active community of players for 3 - 6 player matching and at these ridiculous non US prices the community will likely dwindle rapidly.
And will the DLC alienate non purchasers due to the way it's integrated into the game such as within the crucible elements, player matchmaking etc.
I'd pay $20 as I've enjoyed playing Destiny for the most part but unfortunately Activision have decided to rip off The UK and Europe by not charging a fair price based on exchange rates.
I'll therefore be skipping on this and opt for a new game instead.
It's a real shame as Destiny, being an online only game, relies on lots of gamers being active. Not much point in offering 3 and 6 player only content if there's not enough players to match...
All sounds good but we loose nearly 85% of the money we earn in various taxes (income tax, Ni, invisible taxes, Vat, fuel taxes, home energy etc etc etc).
To be charged £35 for small expansions of a £39.99 game is a rip off, my £35 is going on Farcry 4 which includes a map editor.
Actually you could end up loosing too as if there's not enough players then no crucible and no strikes, raid etc.
A colour wheel would have been a basic option so gamers can choose the tone they like - what's been given is just Sony laughing at its customers.
I haven't purchased it as I was going to use the PSN version as a demo 1st.
Then they pull the demo as there's server issues BUT try to sell me the full game instead. Not biting!!
I only play on a PS4 and find it sometimes I can have as many as 7 disconnects from within the game (sends me back to main start screen) in a single session while at other times it's fine.
Not been helped much with Sony maintenance in peak times either (UK)
Not ranked up as high as yourself but agree the crucible really needs more work. I enjoy what there is, kinda reminds me of playing Unreal Tournament in some ways, but there's not enough maps, map sizes, game variations and they need to remove the invisible map area restrictions.
Impressive, I wonder if it includes the disc versions includes with The PS4 and X1 console bundles
With the development costs of creating game it's quite logical to plan ahead with DLC.
Destiny is a perfect example of good planning, there are Stargate type rings, a story that could have you jumping to any number of worlds as destroying the dark minions can be in any form.
I just hope they make more use of the landscapes including going back to existing areas and expand on Crucible game styles (4 way CTF, larger play areas with larger player count etc...
I like fps games and have enjoyed switching back n forth playing PvE too - more variety the better.
Not complained about weapons etc rather just enjoying as is (was), there's a culture of complaining but it's up to the devs to decide if there's anything valid.
The problem is Destiny is not clan friendly with most of the game content limiting to 3 players. Also It's luck whether / when you get good enough armour / weapons to do the raid at the same time as fellow team players.
Also no game should virtually block content just because they might game on their own!
Not everybody is of the younger generations that have lots of game friends like FB collecting friends.
They really need to expand on the crucible with much more use of existing areas with much larger maps, 5. -7 flag / salvage captures, larger player count etc.
The mote of light coins have been handy for my upcoming characters, Titan armour and hunter helmet. Skipped on the rocket launcher as I have a good legendary with VOG extra damage and 3 rockets.
The sniper rifle was a great purchase as was the auto rifle - shame you can't have both in the main slot :)
I'm currently upgrading the Ju Ju but it' just seems so weak, anybody else upgraded this weapon - worth the bother?
They never bothered with "parity" when their games were on 360 and PS3
I used a PS3 but would have been disgusted if the 360 version textures were lowered for parity.
The media now say it's not going to be noticeable, this is correct technically but the home TV will not display at 900p natively so engages upsampling which is noticeable.
I thought the way Bungie blended elements that in general are from different genres was a gamble.
Of course I wonder if they realised the biggest arguments on the forums would seem to be what genre it must fit into and if so then it's bad for not fitting into the other lol
