I think it depends on the genre you feel like playing and whether PC or console.
I mention PC or console as with PC's you can play MP games that go back many years as 1)lookup servers can be supported very cheaply, 2)users can create the host game server, 3)compatibility has remained for many years 4)User patches (Hi res textures, AI bot enhancements etc) and user content helps keeps games fresh.
I've enjoyed lots of SP RPG games since Ultima 1 but I&...
In BF1942 gamers loved the super large maps where you could fly bombers etc so what does DICE do?? make sure these types of maps never get in another BF game again!!
BF2 had an expansion called Special Forces that had more compact maps but made use of height by adding grappling hooks and zip line so you could climb up buildings / cross from building to building, had night vision goggles for night maps etc.
It was so much fun to play and walked all over games like CoD ...
It goes back to the paying customer used to get Manuals and story book, maps, etc etc while the pirate got just a disk that may or may not work throughout the game - especially when about 30% in it asked for a word on page x line y from the book.
Does it come with a "Fully working on day 1" warranty??
If it's being used a games console with display on the TV then it wouldn't need to rely on battery power as it could be connected to a USB port.
Too many discard the tablets gaming potential based on whats available today.
As has been mentioned there are a number of factors missing that make for a poor gaming format but none of them can't be addressed.
3D GPU API and proper controller, mouse/trackball support would be a big step forward as the tablet could end up as both a games console that connects to the TV etc as well a portable games device like Vita but all in one.
MS should switch their company policy from trying to force products down customers throats and instead encourage sales by just offering good products and updates that their customers want.
Don't tell me if I don't buy Windows xx then I can't use my graphics card's latest API rather create a great Windows version that I just want to buy.
Offer me a quick boot OS to go with the full version etc
Problem is it starts before most get home from work.
I really don't get why they don't start at 2am Pacific time as it wouldn't have an impact on USA or UK/EU
As usual Sony perform maintenance in the UK/Europe peek online period.
What a neat easter egg!!
I played original 2D Wolfenstein games on the Atari 800 and they were brilliant fun with lots of sneaking around. And when you finally completed a game it featured a mission map generator so plenty of replay ability.
Does seem to be a popular glitch.Used to get it a lot in BF2142 when on the Titan ships.
I believe in future BF games they're offering a 1yr after release till fully working warranty :)
What I find very interesting is it's looking like a modern day variant of BF2 Special Forces with Zip lines, grappling hooks etc. which was a fantastic expansion.
Clever little demo of the effects using different frame rates.

If ppl want to know about PC GPUS performance differences they should refer to PC tech reviews which show quite different and more typical results.
As you say this is total bullshit
PC graphics card reviewers show quite different results I.e.

Ppl are acting like AMD doesn't know the PC architecture inside out after all these years and the game wasn't programmed for AMD based consoles.
Kinda funny that the DS4 works better on the PC than the PS4 as you can turn the light off :)
Can't wait for that game!
