Quality game, especially for the money,
I am half way through and its great.
For the price the play time is really good too.
Its been a series in creatively stagnant waters for 4 or 5 installments now.
This new game looks like Advanced Warfare/Blops 2 and Titanfall mushed together.
To be clear AW was actually pretty good but its the lack of any evolution in the series which is ore irksome. AW's MP was quite frankly a sub-standard copy of Titanfalls with maps that didn't make the most of the new exo-abilities.

I do agree that CoD has a superb and easy to pick up control system. That said the online match-matching is such that you can feel like the whipping boy if you aren't one of the better people playing it and end up against much high ranked /prestige players, and in a game which focuses so heavily on KDR.

An embargo often means the dev has something to hide but its often under banner of 'not wanting poeple to give out spoilers', when it reality its them not wanting cancellation of pre-orders till the game has actually arrived.
A good game will generate its own word of mouth so early reviews show confidence.

IMO As Call of Duty has changed more and more into a twitch shooter, which is focused on guns (like you say) and is heavily influenced by the quality of your internet connection, it has got less accessible to noobs and casuals.

I agree. The series reached a peak with MW3 where the punishing learning curve became off-putting. Games are meant to be fun and whilst some CoD-heads may love this about the game, it can be a little frustrating for a casual.
Unlike more objective based games which allow you contribute just as much to point scoring even if you not the greatest shot, CoDs weighting towards TDM/KDR means if you are not much cop you are just meat for the grinder.

Its a good solid game, you should enjoy it. Though you may want to squint at some of the uglier bits.
Seem to be a lot of people assuming colourful and bright means childish.
Perhaps people have forgotten that not all adult games used to be grey and brown colour pallets with no jokes.
Sunset Overdrive is certainly not for children and whilst its irreverent sense of humour didn't always work with me, its anarchic selection of weapons were fun and interesting.
Is it good enough that it took so long to fix? No.
Is The MCC a good value collection of great games with bags of content which now works absolutely fine? Yes, yes and yes.
Put it this way, if I had lived in cave and just bought this game, i would wonder what all the fuss is about it being broken as it works now.
It is worth buying and it will keep you occupied or ages.
But yes the early mistakes cant be forgotten.
Not played Infamous but have the other two, Sunset OD isnt a perfect game but it is one of the best of last year.
