I would agree sales wise that TR1 was impressive (its a great game) but it feels like its at a delicate stage (especially as its viewed by many as an Uncharted clone now) of its franchise life and poor sales could lead to it being cancelled.
I worry mostly about Square Enix' lack of patience with a great series of games.
I could well be wrong and Rise could sell like hot cakes.
I wrote an article about this too and think if its wants to have a long term life, it needs to move.
Its completely dumb to release on the same day as one of the next gens most anticipated titles.Reboot-Raider is not quite the powerhouse brand it needs to be yet and Fallout 4 WILL outsell it.

Not a huge surprise. Looked like an iOS game made on the budget of the morning coffee run for Naughty Dog. The fact its King of The Monsters-style gameplay is 20 years out of date dint help.
That said, if you like this, all power to you.
Blops 2 is Ok, but pretty much every other game on that list is better.

It was perfect really IMO. Would people still talk about the end of Inception if the film told you exactly what happened? Course not..and that's great.
You see the problem RS had don't you? If they made the end explicit and destroy the mystery/talking points they also potentially comprise the storyline. (sorry if that is vague, am wary of spoilers)

Ignore the negative hype and pick this game up. For its SP and Coop elements its pretty much one of best things on the One at present.

There's no way you could objectively sit and play this and not find some enjoyment.
I'm usually the first one to cry left-wing gender politics but I don't agree, especially about Oracle.
What you see her go through is not only important for the context of the story (the concept of family and sins of the father, etc), its appropriately shocking/distressing (as it was in comics)and the brutality is far (FAR) outweighed by scenes of another male characters suffering later on.
As for her being a damsel in distress, she is in a wheelchair...
Witcher 3 is going to get a similarly high rating I think.IMO there is more wrong with Witcher 3 in terms of technical issues and other niggling things but its hard not to admire it when its so ambitious and huge.
Take out the car criticisms (which I'm still not sure isn't my personal preference)and Arkham Knight is pretty much a faultless game. Pacing is great, as is characterization, combat, variation in level structure, etc.

IMO They are just laid on a bit thick that's all.
Rocksteady have had 3 games to get everything else polished and the vehicle combat feels a little unpolished to me.
Its the bigger title no doubt.

I mistakenly bought the season pass and its burned me so badly I wont be buying one again. Yes, The House of Wolves was an improvement over The embarrassment of content that was The Dark Below but that's like saying breaking your kneecap is better than chopping your leg off.

I like the fact Nintendo takes risks but I didn't really like my Wii and the WiiU wasn't that appealing.
I'm not fully convinced Nintendo really themselves what they were releasing with the WiiU, next-gen gaming powerhouse or family friendly machine?
Be interesting to see what the NX brings though.
