Well, the developers did say that they wanted the player to die so often it would become funny.
Looks like they have succeeded.
This is easily my most anticipated game of the year.

Yeah, Demon's Souls should be alot higher.
I really like the physical guide, but oh well.
I thought the guide was useful for some of the weapon creation stuff and understanding world tendancy.

Actually, when you die, you still have the "lose all your souls" unless you can touch it again before dying mechanic.
Clunky combat? From all accounts it plays like the first one, the first one had strategic weight on purpose. It was a timing thing.

The first one is ok, but I don't like the second.

I just...can't justify paying 60 bucks for a game that is only 15 hours or so.

Its an experience, but are gamers going to put a copy underneath their pillows hoping they dream about it? No, probably not.
This game does have potential.
If they can pull it all together, it might be pretty dang good.
Hey, if they address the problems with Oblivion, remember what made Morrowind great and wrap it all up in some well written quests with engaging and fun combat, then it will not be overhyped.
