Dragon Age Origins might be considered better, but to say DA:2 is better...well...you have some interesting tastes.
Everybody says that...until they finish it.
IM looking forward to this game. I like what I see so far. I like the art direction.
Dark Souls/Demon's Souls.
That is enough for me to care what Japan does.
So long as they keep making Souls game, then I will keep gaming.
They are my favorite games of the last decade.
Skyrim is great on alot of levels. The first 40 hours are incredible. Open gameplay...new places to discover.
Around that time you start to realize that all these quests you are doing isn't impacting the world at all. You can kill some people, and then join them later. *Didnt want to spoil*
Though the dungeons are better than oblivion, rarely are they worth your time exploring after 40 hours. No good loot.
Really, the game shi...
Yeah, I disagree with the "good enough" meaning stats.
Good enough means you know the level and how the game works.
You can do a naked run at level 1 if you know what you are doing.
All games are just "cute" compared to the Souls series. (Yes, this includes Skyrim and Kingdoms).
They say the demo was an old build and will be fixed by release.
I enjoyed the demo as well.
I don't know about "de-throne" but I will be picking it up, and it seems its going to be good.
Thats all I care about.
My problem with Skyrim is that you couldn't really effect the world in any meaningful way.
That said...after 82 hours...I enjoyed the game, but with the bugged out saves..choppy framerate (and I can deal with a ton of choppyness)...I was ready to put it down...
And then I googled Dark Souls DLS.... :)
I played the demo, and I can say Im interested.
A little too hard to say gameplay, story and characters are all wanting when the demo is only one hour long.
If this is true...If this is true....
Hire the guy that went to MistWalker and re-hire the guy that did Final Fantasy Tactics...
Let them do their thing without a "ZOMG, MAKE IT LIKE A WESTERN SOMETHING."
And poof...
A phenominal Final Fantasy.
Dude, Colony Wars was the sheet.
I never quite understood the hate for FFXII. I thought it was most like the old school Final Fantasy's than any since 6 (maybe 9 thrown in there).
It was decidedly different from FFX...that much is for sure.
I wasn't the biggest fan of FFX and IMO marks a different step for Final Fantasy.
FFXIII is an extention of that step taken by FFX...
Sakaguchi and Matsuno (sp) both left.
If you play 1-6 it is decidedly different than 7 and 8...9 is back old school...I don't like FF10 (but I understand if it was your first)...but that started the down trend IMO.
Hmmm...Dark Souls? (Though you could argue that it is indeed a sequal).
Not that I don't like Skyrim, I most certainly do. One of my favorites this generation.
But Dark Souls grabbed me like no other game this year and only second to Demon's Souls. (They are both equal in terms of raw awesome).
Thus,
My GOTY is Dark Souls and I don't give a flying eff what publication agrees with me or not.
Secret of Mana, FFVI, Chrono Trigger

It takes a bit to get used to the combat honestly
