I like the spiritual successors myself. Gives Miyazaki free reign to do whatever it is he sees fits instead of being tide to the games established "rules."
Regardless, day 1.
Im still getting it day one, but last gen consoles is really disappointing. With a game of Fallouts size, there is no way it will not be held back.
Gawd yes, Deadly Premonition is awesome.
I can't say that the visual quality or any of that was on purpose, but it did fit with the overall feeling of the game.
Yes the game play is exceedingly weak, the map was hard to navigate (my biggest complaint about the game...traversing the world was just too much of a chore for me to do too many side quests), but the game is overflowing with soul and personality.
Story is excellent, best protag...
I have been hopeful too many times from SquareEnix.
It will probably be some mobile game.
I would like to thank Outrage Culture and Gaming journalism for giving an otherwise mediocre game all the press it needed.
Without you guys, this game would have sold about 4 copies and never heard from again.
</sarcasm>
Just can't muster any ability to care here. Though DA:I is a "pretty good" game and leagues better than DA:2, its story is not particularly compelling and most of the maps, while pretty, are just collect-o-thons.
And now with Witcher 3 out that essentially succeeds where DA:I failed, great story, interesting characters, side quests very compelling, big open world, its really hard to get excited for DA anything.
It makes alot of sense to include women FIFA teams. Women play for a world cup, lots of young women play soccer, many young women are interested in soccer.
Really, I'm surprised it has taken EA that long to make this inclusion. Glad they have!
Now that the blood vials and bullets are capped at 600 now (and not 99), then this is by far not as useful unless you are wanting to see all three endings on one playthrough.
I have platniumed Bloodborne, and beat all the Souls games.
I found the combat in witcher to be a little too non-exacting to be fun on Death March. I do blood and broken bones and I like the balance.
In the end, it is fun to play with my buddies, and now, it is much easier to level up gear....And now with the "guaranteed" pieces of armor. The game is actually fun to play and not just get mad at RNG for keeping you out of light levels and thus all of the hard modes.
Its okay to chase a few exotics, but when reaching a final level is RNG based, that is silly.
Its a great game for sure. Def. one of the best open world games out there....Ever.
At this time, however, I can't say it is better than Bloodborne for me, but I need to get into it a little more.
The reviewer has every right to write whatever he wants.
I wish the reviewer made clear how his sensibilities were offended with the "oppressively misogynistic" world effected his experience with the game.
Instead, it seems we got a fly by comment to garner attention.
Its perfectly valid for a reviewer to be so offended by a game that they can't give it a good score. However, it doesnt seem like this reviewer explained this...
Regardless of what happens, I just want Miyazaki to continue to be allowed the freedom to make the games he wants.
If its a sequel, great. If its something new, even better.
I like the FromSoftware/Sony relationship and I hope it continues, as I feel Sony has a better idea of how to set expectations about "niche" (well, a niche style that has become huge) titles and wont put too much pressure on From Software to "Casual" the game up.
Interesting comment
Yup, the thing is, what Destiny does, it does very well. Problem is, it just doesn't do enough.
I have greatly enjoyed my time with the game, but I didn't go into it with high expectations.
Watchdog....ugh.
And if you are a bloodtinge/skill build (and don't have range weapons), you really have to be perfect.
G-horn is a fantastic weapon in Destiny. I was fortunate enough to have one drop early. (Chased Hawkmoon for months though).
That said, its not 100% necessary for any of the content in the game.
Its a bummer that some LFG sites insist you have one when it is not nearly as important as just being a good player.
Id take a good player over someone who is average with a ghorn 10 out of 10 times.
This absolutely opens them up for lawsuits.
Really, there needs to be a class action against Ubisoft.
You can't knowingly deliver a product that doesn't work. Thats Fraud. Plain and simple.
Yeah, ripped the rubber off my thumbsticks after 300+ hours of Destiny.
Got some rubber replacements ones off amazon and have not had any more trouble.
I understand the basic premise of not having matchmaking. Raids and nightfalls would be nightmares with people who just clicked on the event.
Now, if they somehow code in a "destinylfg" type system where you can pick a few filters for matchmaking, then that would be perfect.
