Exactly what Roccetarius said. This is a budget title that this company is notorious for making. Larger Japanese studios are certainly not behind.
Crimson, I do agree with what you're saying, but I also want variety as well. The big exclusives take time and like this article pointed out, a majority of the devs Sony has were making big titles for the ps3 at the end of its lifespan and the beginning of the ps4's.
So while I agree, we definitely deserve bigger titles and better first party exclusives, those take time, so it's nice to have distractions and titles to play while we wait. Sucks that Uncharted 4 got...
And he forgot Senran Kagura Estival as well as J-Stars Victory+ ;)
Indeed
Yes this is definitely looking to be a resurgence. Smaller budget, midtier budget, and big budget rpgs looking to make a major comeback on the ps4 very early. Man... if DQ XI is announced for the Ps4 jesus. Can't wait to see Level-5's new game as well.
Lol, yea these have been funny to read. Looking forward to seeing if his predictions will be true. Other funny thing about this article is the complaints of no new games. Lol, I guess both sides are remastering conferences huh....
Hell yea it should be. I knew DQ was popular in japan, but damn I didn't know it was that popular. This would move crazy amounts of Units for Sony as well as boost the hell out DQ sales. Sony/SE, make it happen!
Lol, it's actually not Capcom. It's Other Ocean that did the port, which was a terrible choice by Sony, proven at this moment. Hopefully this gets rectified soon.
Exactly. Publishers just haven't been caring about QA at all. Betas are scarce and publisher's forcing game releases before it was ready. Unstable games are going to continue to exist not because of lack of focus on gameplay, but because of lack of bug testing.
That's the main thing people seem to forget and something that a couple have mentioned up above. PS3 gen started slow, but kept getting stronger and stronger, and just didn't didn't stop. Hell ps4's launch year, TLOU, GoW Ascension, Ni No Kuni, Sly Thieves in Time, Gran Turismo 6, Beyond 2 Souls, and whatever other game I may be forgetting launched out, so many devs just weren't fully committed to the ps4 yet. I imagine the same this gen, starting off slower but picking u...
Indeed. Plus add to the fact that it's a multiplat game. While how awesome as it is, is still plagued with various issues, so I'm not entirely shocked. Still regardless, it's pure awesomesauce no matter the console you play it on!
That plot twist would be quite humorous
Sigh... the parity clause strikes again. The ps4 is definitely snowballing more and more into the premier fighting game console as well as other things. I can kinda guess the issues with this lie with the fact that the ps4, ps3, and ps vita ver is cross buy, cross play, cross save. It's just outright the more valuable version in my opinion. And it would appear that may conflict with the parity clause. And releasing it late on the x1 is not to Microsoft's liking.
Well that's the thing. If it's much of the same game from a year or so ago, with the same bugs or possibly more, it shouldn't score an 8 again. Hell if it was like that when it first release didn't deserve a 8 back then either. But because it was a newer indie release, they cut it some slack. The re-release, they had a opportunity, to fix the issues, but they didn't. And that's seemingly why it's getting the score it's getting.
Indeed, and gets them quite frequently. And don't forget it's also one of the most narrative heavy mmos, which I'm huge fan of lots of story. Crazy amount of content, getting a casino, card game, and chocobo racing, new dungeons, raids, and other extras every 2-3 months. There are certain f2p mmos out there that look good or take certain risks that p2p mmos dont, but ultimately they just don't compare in overall quality, consistent maintenance, and constant enhancing, like FFX...
I might be mistaken here, but the exclusive megaton announcement that Tidux was referring to was SF V console exclusivity. I might have been living under a rock if things have changed, but I still believe that SF franchise is one largest if not largest fighting game franchise to date both competitively and casually. That was a megaton announcement in my opinion, especially considering that possibly we weren't gonna hear about a SF game till 2018, so it's great for the fighting game co...
I'm not sure about the Bloodborne, PSX demo looked pretty smooth. And the Order demo looked smooth as well we'll have to see. I think that the main reason this being attacked right now is because of the PS2 running at 30fps being blown up as well. Just how it's gonna be. On topic though, they did a nice job porting the game. Looks very smooth.
I agree, and this game looks to definitely be shaping up. The hype is building so much for the game because of how gorgeous it looks, the aesthetic, atmosphere, top star acting, gameplay appears pretty solid, and the story looks quite deep and fun. I hoping big for this game's success, because they said that the game could span beyond werewolves and such in it's lore. It's a van helsing, meets gears, meets resistance(Loving the weapons bro). Definitely looking forward playing it. ...
But really the main reason that the unmatched graphics pop up is because there really isn't that many games that look as good as it. It'll pop up in some of the most anticipated lists perhaps because they played it and enjoyed it. But it's been far more bashed than hyped up. But even the ones who bashed still praised the crap out of the graphics.
Naw, I'm actually hoping it does to. It looks pleasant, goofy, chill, and comical. Definitely different from what we normally get, and I'm willing to give it a try.
