I know the title had mix reception for a lot of gamers (I am in the camp that loves to), but damn am i glad it was made . That was a title made on a AAA scope with indie bravery. It is refreshing to see something so risky put out in a wave of safe big-budget titles.
Honestly as long as he can recoup the budget and has viable sponsors to back him, I would prefer that he would still put out triple a titles. That weirdness is the spice that triple a gaming needs.
@chief
That's rough.
But yeah, that's why I kept it relative to production size n scope for the system. That can give us lil more than personal opinion. I think next year x box is stacked on quantity, but not so much on production quality.
Shame that you are getting pm'ed over a difference in opinion
I think Dreams Early Access is out if that has any value in this exchange.
As for the other games, it's matter of quality and production. Now comparing particular taste...
In all my opinion
Cuphead is overrated
Ori is a pretty indie/arcade game
Halo is overrated
I'm still on the fence about bleeding edge.
As for the the writers point oh, I think that next year stacked on quantity of games. As...
I agree on ff 15 and 13. Imo, those were the black sheep and lack the magic of old.
I adored 4, 6, 7, 9 , and tactics. I agree with the sentiment that a lot of recent Jrpgs have surpassed the new ones but it is a harder argument about the old ones, even with this remake having a more action system. Hopefully doing these remakes will rekindle the old flames.
To each his own though. He really loves bravely default to claim it is infinitely better than final fantas...
I definitely agree. Hopefully we will see a re-emergence of this genre through the end of this gen and beginning of next. Got this, GranBlue Re-Link, going by old rumors NG (hopefully redeeming razor edge), God of War sequel, and Bayonetta 3. Hopefully much more after those.
You and me both brotha. And I hope a similar result from the reviews. Ninja Gaiden has a good chance with this game's success and to an extent Nioh's. This genre thrives in spurts, so hopefully we will see more hack and slash releases.
Those are so rare I really don't see it. I think they're going to add more content but still be a shit game. Bethesda gave up so much that game special.
@rainslacker It is an ironic and humorous the current gaming time line to be honest. Sony once was on board for cross play with MS during the PS3 gen and the beginning of ps4 gen with FF XIV, which MS rejected twice. It was inconvenient for MS last gen and the beginning of this gen, and now it is inconvenient for Sony. What has been an interesting turn of events is Nintendo hopping on board and the constant surplus of articles on this subject, especially really hammering on the significance o...
Hmm the 720p, 30fps isn't an issue if you haven't experienced it on any other platform in my opinion. And have they clarified whether that's docked or portable? The main thing I don't agree with is the price and this has been a weird issue for me with the switch for a while now. Are you basically paying console game prices to be able to play at home and handheld?
Man I agree with this.Hopefully someone did buy Suikoden ip from Konami.
Indeed it is my good sir. I fervently requested Valkyria Chronicles remaster on Gio Corsi's list and I did not think I'd be getting both. I don't know if Sony's influenced this happening or not, but Sega truly seems to be turning around. I can't wait for this game as well as the various j-rpg and other genres flowing down the pipeline. This gen for Playstation is priming to be quite remarkable.
@pivotplease,Cornholio
Yea 2016 if nothing gets delayed ideally, will look incredible for all sides, but especially for Sony. Hell 6-7 titles for SE alone 3rd party exclusives for playstation revealed so far
Star Ocean 5
Dragon Quest XI
Nier 2
Dragon Quest Builders
Dragon Quest Heroes II
are some of the ones I can think of off rip.
Then various other 3rd party exclusives I don't even feel like listi...
This and game diversity is hugely important. There are a blown out number of games coming out next year, whether it fits your scene is up to opinion. I just go with the system that has the most of what I want.
XD, those are some weird award wins. I'm excited for MGS V, and I'm glad it's receiving such high praise, but I'm surprised it won best console for Xbox. Were they just not impressed enough with the games shown at Xbox's presser, and gave it to MGS? It's actually surprising because their conference was really good. It's intriguing how this turned out.
@LamerTamer, 8-10 may be short, but I feel like those length of games are needed, because some of these games being so long have been intimidating for me. Especially going from one open world game to the next with crazy time sinks. I think it's excellent value as long as it was a damn good campaign and that I wouldn't mind going through it again and again at various points of my gaming gen. Some of these games now are too damn long XD.
PC should definitely be lead if you want it to run best. Then port it down to ps4 and x1.
Donthate, I don't think SF V is timed exclusive. Capcom PR guys have said in multiple articles it's never coming to the X1. But it is Ps4/PC, so PC gamers can get into the pie. I do understand what you guys are saying. Certain 3rd party comes to the respective systems exclusively, whether it be because of the business deals or merely because there just is such minimum audience for that title on the other platforms that it's not worth the costs to bring them over. It's kinda ju...
It's good he admitted it. Because it explained why the game wasn't possible on the ps3 with the old vision and ps4 ultimately was the best choice. It looks as originally intended, and can only improve from here, which is awesome. Can't wait till 2016.
Isn't Level 5 revealing a new ip as well? And don't forget Sony Bend's new game. And I still am wondering about the old speculations that Gravity Rush 2 will be on the ps4 as well, possibly re-imagined on the ps4. Definitely some exciting prospects and only 3 more days.
I would be excited to see one. They certainly have the lore and bestiary to create interesting show
