I think it is tough call what they bring over. I think there will still be exclusives specific for Playstation hardware. But even before Jim, Layden already mentioned the possibility of some Playstation games being ported to PC, to lean into their install base. Dreams would certainly be a candidate.
But many forget, they don't want just hardware and software sales. They want accessory sales, mtx sales, and percentage cuts. So they still will value varying exclusive sof...

@Godmars
3rd party such Persona Strikers. Gas that been announced for Xbox? Then they have 3rd party timed exclusives such as Deathloop. Not to mention that if FF16 comes out this year, it may be exclusive to ps5/pc.
Microsoft I'm not disagreeing with Sony having more exclusives. I just find it funny Optimus said Sony is granted a free pass despite having more 1st party, 2nd party, and 3rd party exclusive content.
I still think it is a rather unfair criticism. 2020 was an incredible closing year for PS4, yet the PS5 not only still had a stronger launch than the ps4 did, but stronger than their competitors. Comparing first year between ps4 and ps5, ps5 looks far more promising.
I think Miles shot up more than likely because people wanna play it on PS5.
Jesus that jump for Last of Us 2. Imagine when the upgrade gets announced or they finally announce this multiplayer.
And grats to Miles return. I imagine as a lost legacy styled release, the return on this game is phenomenal
@Razzer
What is bananas is that they had launch games as exclusives. And still have 3rd party new titles coming out, ontop of having a massive 2020. Their output is fairly good, especially in comparison to the competition and 1st year of the ps4.
@Optimus
The possibility of delays still affect either one wouldn't you agree? Infinite can be delayed again as well. Ratchet can be delayed, as well as Horizon. We can only hope MS has mo...
I wonder if this will be a trend. Will a number of EX employees return? Will Shannon return to SSM? She is not with Stadia anymore.
I guess if more talent returns, make these articles. Funny to read
Skyward Sword is already sold out physically. Oh yea... $70 games are happening. Nintendo will join in at some point as well.
But on another note, yea Nintendo groomed their fans a long time ago. They don't gaf about Twitter or media outrage, because their fanbase buy their games in droves. But there's so little media coverage anyway that it never mattered anyway. What possibly irritates me more is how often they're ignored of ridicule. Where are the people u...
@Neogamer
The music industry has suffered quality wise. And it is a passive medium.
As for movie industry, I bring up Disney because they are trying to get back to the theaters. They were making a larger return on investment there. If they were making more from subs, they wouldn't even be trying to return nor charge $30 for the day and date releases the currently have put out.
As for the game industry, simply saying they're hea...
@Kurt
GP and services like it are fine. But I don't see it being the de facto form of delivery, day/date, yet retaining high quality. These services provide cheap bulk buffet gaming for gamers interested. That is fine, but I don't see day and date, which a majority arguing on GP's behalf want. Do EA put their games day and date on EA Play? And they aren't the beacon of high quality. Take Two's CEO is skeptical about sub future. Activision hasn't ev...
@NeoGamer
Spotify doesn't have Spotify originals so what is there even to compare? Music quality has long been in the dumps and is a passive media, so you can play it while you're actively engaged with something else. Then an entire album isn't constructed with nearly the same length, quality, mechanics, etc... as a game.
Then Netflix is really hit or miss in terms of quality. They'll have a standout movie or series that draws people to s...
What? I'm talking about BC. Backwards Compatibility. MS marketed and put far more resources into it.
Not spin, a fact. Literally the game was running sub pro bc. Now it is running more or less ps4 pro bc, hence the resolution, which was lower before the patch XD. No need to get hostile. MS invested more into BC and has better BC for it
The thing is, when given the opportunity, people are realistically going to sub rather than buy the games. That is going to likely dilute quality of their titles. Jim Ryan alluded to this when he said the strategy is not sustainable for their projects, especially their big budget titles.
I'm glad for Sega success with GP. Did they put Like a Dragon day and date on GP? What about any other new titles? And not compilation of their old games or retro titles?
...
That's actually one of the most igmpressive aspects to ps5 bc. They didn't pour nearly the amount of resources into it nor marketed it nearly heavily as Xbox, yet they have essentially over-delivered on it. I'm fairly certain the Ubi team were aware of the issue, but simply decided to get upgrade out and patch visual issues afterward. It's just an upgrade patch anyway.
@Atom666
Yea, they rest of your point is valid. I wonder what the rest of their 3rd party deals are and how much they paid for that. But the deluge of content is incredible. Time exclusive content, 1st party content, and 2nd party titles. The amount of content pouring out the gates is wild
This isn't for 3rd party deals. This is for Playstation IP outsourced to 3rd party developers aka 2nd party games. Essentially Returnal, Demon Souls Remake, Sackboy adventures.
Game looking very cool. A big budget Hades looks polished as it does, and many damn permutations.

An excellent summary of known details
Well what has generated so much doubt with DF as of late, is when the advantages are in PS5 favor, which is likely 85-90% of the time, their conclusion boils down to bugs or SeriesX got VRR, so what? Or subtle downplay of advantages they had identified and framed before.
I think that has generated a lot of suspicion with them as of late. They were cut/dry with ps4 vs x1 and pro vs x1x. Be cut and dry with ps5 vs Series.
And my lord, why are they compari...
Well the difficulty with discussing 1st/2nd party vs is because MS doesn't really have 1st party currently available to offer comparisons for SSD spends or even specialized GPU advantages.
If we're talking pure load speeds, Sony has already provided proof via Demon Souls, SMMM, Sackboy for example, sub 2s-4s load times. Like you said, It won't really be demonstrated by 3rd party because they are building more for getting the game in a functional state.
I welcome it Druckman. I imagine the surprises tie to an upgrade for TLOU2, Factions 2.0, and maybe the new Ip. And boy have the rumors been all over the place. I think that it was pretty odd to have Dragon Slayer art claimed to be intended to be fan art for ACV. Then you have rumors tied to it being a sci-fi ip.
But I have been theorizing what it could be. What if it's the Time Splitters like premise, being heavily tied to time travel? So you may have scenarios being...
