Bethesda didn't develop the game, they only published it. Machinegames developed it so give them credit. But I agree, I love when a great single player campaign is the focus.
Nope, my copy ran great on two different PS3s, so did my sisters on her PS3. We both got platinum too with minimal issues, just the rare freeze. Sorry you got the short stick, but don't dissuade others from playing an epic game if for some odd reason they haven't yet.
"Not sure where you think I implied otherwise. What rhetoric is this? "
Not sure why or where you think I implied you implied that. It's a general statement about the way I feel about the gaming industry. If it seems to me that a company has rested on its laurels like I feel Nintendo has done with it's franchises they won't get my money. They need new and fresh franchises. They don't need to be brofest fps games, but they need something fresh.
@Chickey, you're right you can't convince me because it's not a debatable point, it's called franchise fatigue. Same goes for COD, AC, GOW, etc. Maybe I'm spoiled, but I expect new and exciting 1st party games every year. If a company doesn't offer that than I'm not buying their console. I'm the consumer, it's my money, they need to earn it as it's not going to be given away.
Most of us grew up on Nintendo, the problem is that when 3rd parties left Nintendo and started to develop for Sony and MS, the variety of games left with it. There's only so much Mario, Zelda, Metroid I can take. Frankly, I got tired of seeing Mario's face a long time ago.
I love games, most genres, cartoony innocent games included. It's the same Nintendo franchises I'm tired of. How many times do they expect me to play a new MK game or Mario game before these...
Haven't played wrestling games in a long time, but some kind of tribute to The Ultimate Warrior would be cool.
Last I heard, Kinect will still be made and used. As long as Kinect is in existence you will have to develop games with that in mind because there will be a lot of consumers who still use it. So whatever power is allocated for Kinect , that won't change.
I wouldn't be opposed to a combination of modern weapons (not too modern, more old west style) and magic.
@TimeSkipLuffy, who knows. There are a lot of possibilities as to the contractual agreements between Insomniac and MS.
To me at least its not surprising. Sony wants exclusivity and to own the game rights but give creative freedom, EA doesn't need to own the game rights but they WILL assert their control over the creation process, MS will allow creative freedom and usually let the dev keep the IP, they just care about exclusivity. MS gets a bad rap, but many devs do well with them and have no issues, Remedy, Epic, Crytek, Bungie, etc.
E3 to me is something that's essential for the industry. At a time of year (summer) where usually no great games release its a way for the industry to say, "hey, we know you may not have much to play right now, but look what you can look forward to in a few months! So stick with us, loyal gamers, we got your back and that console you bought will be worth it!"
It's really about the gamers, it's a stage where MS, Sony and Nintendo could show us why our con...
I used to love COD games up to Black Ops. After that I stopped playing. But the reasons I see why people bash it are:
1. They made so much money with the franchise but never created a better engine or offered dedicated servers.
2. Because of the success of the multiplayer it started a trend in the industry where everyone was copying it.
3. Cause some people think it's cool to hate on what's popular.
4. The devs started too make the game "a...
Whenever they come out with their next system I hope they reboot the name back to NES, then do numerical sequels, NES 2, NES 3, etc.
Announced before E3, and live action gameplay revealed at E3. That's the way it's been.
Foxtrot, I'm a Nintendo fan and you're totally right. This article is rubbish. I just checked my account and a Kurt Cobain story is on top, nearest gaming related trend is #7 about Disney Infinity. The mods need to take this down as its being reported as news when it's not.
It's the worst kind of journalism, reporting false news as fact, the author should be embarrassed and take down his/her article.
Nothing wrong with that imo. World at War had at least 1 map I can think of with trenches and it was not bad.
"racially target every non-American"
You do know American isn't a race right? America has a very diverse population, I myself am hispanic, but am American.
I disagree. I think most gamers nowadays are addicted to instant gratifications. Trophies and achievements to make them feel like they accomplished something other than just passing the game as a reward, and constant checkpoints so they don't get frustrated after they die. Pay to win dlc so they don't have to put time into playing the correct way.
If the majority of gamers liked a challenge, tough games would sell better than casual games, but that's not the case...
@Danteh, I just started playing Dark Souls yesterday, yes, so rewarding. With part 2 out, that's a lot of time that's going into these games. Then Demons Souls after.
This is why I'm nowhere near ready to upgrade to a PS4 or X1, not to mention other games in my backlog.
Ok, on that logic, let's give Zenimax credit then...
