I don't think 1 game would make or break a studio, especially one as prominent as Crytek. Their problem started with Crysis 2, an expensive engine that didn't catch on, Ryse and probably mismanagement of money and resources.
If they do this, I think performance would suffer. You can't cram the horsepower of a console in a handheld. They would also face the same issue with 3rd parties if they don't develop a console that's on par with it's competitors.
Get a Wii U then.
People complained about Uncharted being linear, and look how that turned out, one of the most awarded franchises in video game history. You can't please everyone, and sometimes that's an issue in the industry. Devs will try to make a game that has the most mass appeal, which usually results in a junk game.

@Software_lover, you nailed it. The gaming industry is full of immaturity. Fanboys from all camps will claim a "win" no matter what. Only real gamers can sit back and appreciate all offerings from all companies, even if they don't own all systems.
To expose the Uncharted series to as many people as possible to generate as many sales for Uncharted PS4 as they can. Smart move considering U3 already made them a boatload of cash.
I really agree, it's a shame that Sony didn't promote this game. It deserved so much more, hopefully it will go to PS4 and do much better.

Ok...and Indiana Jones shouldn't have Indy, Tomb Raider shouldn't have Lara Croft, Super Mario shouldn't have Mario, see how silly that is? Uncharted is what it is because of Nathan Drake. He's funny, charming, clumsy and a badass. He's synonymous with the series. An Uncharted without ND wouldn't be an uncharted.
I agree, I don't really care about MP unless it's co-op. I hope more devs focus on making great campaigns this gen.
It could lower the price a dollar or two, I don't think it would lower the price to a point that would warrant a price drop.
Why would they lower the price when there is obviously no need for it? The value for what you're getting is still excellent.

I feel the same, nothing about WD ever really got me excited. I just don't get why people were hyped about this, was it the hacking that people thought is cool because they like to or want to hack things in real life?

I love cinematic action adventure games like this. Also it seems like chapter transitions will be seemless ala Uncharted. Love it! This will probably be the game that pushes me to get a PS4, still have a backlog on PS3 lol.

I wouldn't say it's a harmless drug. Sure it may not cause cancer like cigarettes or damage the body like alcohol or meth, but it's not "harmless". I've known many people who became addicted to bud, (and yes it is addictive) and it ruined their lives. Others who it made them habitually lazy.
For many it helps, but it's still not something kids should partake it or be used when driving or at work.

I'm buying my first Xbox 360 today off craigslist. I was a PS3 gamer the whole gen, but I still always appreciated what the 360 had to offer. Now the console and games are so inexpensive there's no reason not to own one. $100 for a 250GB slim. I got Gears 1,2 and 3 for $11 at Gamestop. Then it's the Fable series, Alan Wake, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, Crackdown 1 and 2. Maybe the Halo series (never really got my interest). Any other exclusives recommended I'd appreciate it.
