Gah that PC tag is a tease, last I heard Just Add Water were still undecided on if and when the PC versions of these remakes would release as they are concentrating on the console versions. We are after all still waiting on the PC version of Munch HD which they put on hold to do New 'n' Tasty >.<
Unless Sega up and sold the series to Sony then no, it isn't coming. They recently lost the rights to use the "name" Shenmue, which means that obviously Sega doesn't feel the need to keep the trademark on the name paid up, which means nothing will be coming any time soon, having said that tho Sega is free to pay to have the trademark renewed at any time. Losing the rights to a name or trademark does not mean the whole series is up for grabs as many seem to think. Sega AM2 st...
Will be a smart phone game, its almost all they make anymore. Wouldn't get your hopes up >.<
They lost the rights to the Shenmue name.. the trademark. Not the series or the games themselves. They are the first party creator's of the series, Sega AM2 is a Sega first party studio and the rights to the actual games still belongs to them. And Sony certanly can't aquire it from them based on this loss of trademark unless they up and brought it.
Basically in a nutshell Sega can't name or release a new game in the series "Shenmue" unless they pay to ...

Just wondering why people seem to always include Shadow in the list as if he is important in some way. Wouldn't Metal Sonic be the next on the list of main type characters? Eggman, main baddie, makes evil robots, a double of Sonic that makes sense in universe is Metal Sonic. Not the guy that should have stayed dead after his story was finished in Sonic Adventure 2.
Maybe i am just bitter cause i wanna see more of the old characters get bette...
Shining Force, up until Shining Force III was also Camelot, as was Shining in the Darkness and Shining the Holy Ark. After they left the Shining series took a giant nose dive into horribleness.
This better make it out in US and PAL territories. And not as a download only, I personally like having my games, especially my "collections" in physical form >.<
There are countless gamers out there that would be over the moon to see a proper Dreamcast 2, so that isn't really much of a put down. In fact if anything that implies that the Wii U will end up dying with a big libarary of unique and really enjoyable games. Much like the Dreamcast and the Gamecube.
That fell through back in 1988 when Sony and Nintendo were working together to make the SNES-CD console. In fact that is the main reason Sony's console/game dev studios and the Playstation (which incidentally was going to be the name of the stand alone Nintendo CD console Sony developed) even exists today. It is an interesting thought tho isn't it :D
I was more talking how Square and a lot of companies fix up their pre-release screens to look better than final. Sure KH 1.5 looked really nice in HD, i wouldn't dispute that at all. But they did do a lot of false screens to make it look better than it was. For example, this was from an old topic on it on a KH fansite to illustrate.

They didn't fix up a lot of the cutscenes, or the on...
What last day of sale? The only things left on sale are the front page things. Everything else finished yesterday randomly. The 2000+ sale games have been back up to full price since around 12 hours ago. No reason to DDoS Steam, but it was a royal screw up when the front page has said "through the 3rd" since day one and then they go and remove the stuff on the 2nd >.<
I wouldn't believe the pics myself/ Remember last time with 1.5 HD Remix. The screens they showed off with the graphical updates, better eyes and faces etc in the cutscenes...didn't happen in the end. I'll bet this doesn't quite match the end product either. Square is notorious for touching up shots to make them look better than final product.
And yet their remastered versions of Final Fantasy V and VI as well as a complete remake of After Years in 3D with voice acting to match the iOS version of Final Fantasy IV aren't appearing on any consoles or handhelds besides mobile devices.
I would call these old masterpiece Final Fantasy games a lot more "flagship" than the current ones they are dishing out >.<
They got the top reason wrong >.<
The top reason it is hard to go back, is that once you have played decent full length games that don't require always on internet or tons of DLC and have some of the best gameplay, stories and above all fun factor of all time and are still brilliant after all these years, you will find it HARD to go back to current gen stuff.
Personal preference btw before anyone rips me a new one.
They aren't on a good track record.
Valkryria Chronicles 3 - "no plans to release in the west"
Phantasy Star Online 2 - "no plans to release in the west even with a fully translated version of the game being made available to Taiwan etc"
Phantasy Star NOVA on PSVita - "no plans to release in the west"
Yakuza Ishin - "no plans to release in the west"
Yakuza HD Collec...
Is Gladiator (Deadlocked) HD even out yet in PAL European territories? They better hurry up if it is to make it onto PS3 before PS4 gets here >.<
I don't think the author of this article read or had the news translated properly. This is not a new series, it is a Pokemon Special, meaning either one or two episodes, like the Pokemon Ranger specials they have done in the past.
The new SERIES is based on Pokemon X and Y and still has Ash as the main character. Sorry to burst peoples bubbles but this is a one off thing, not a new series.
Wait what??..If there is no story mode then what was that scene at the end of the Mega Man trailer where he was running sideways and the Yellow Devil started appearing? Looked like something out of a story or adventure mode to me.
I am SO sick of Square and their social overkill. They are flooding the iOS and Android market with useless crap, multiple card battle games etc and their boxed products that aren't made by their overseas devs are getting worse and worse. Kingdom Hearts 3 and the HD versions of Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X & X-2 will probably be the best games they have brought out in the last 3 years, and two of them are old games polished up >.<
They do to some degree but they also have a lot of exclusive games themselves that aren't on consoles. I have a PC and I also have a console, or consoles usually, so I don't ever miss out personally.
It does slightly annoy me when they say something is coming to PC, or in the case of Munch will be supplied as a free update for Steam like they did with Stranger's Wrath, then turn around and say, sorry we have actually put it on hold to concentrate on another game. ...
