It's probably the quietest way the developers could bring the game over if you think about it. square said years ago if they recreated just midgar it would consume a lot of space and effort. every location. nobody would be able to at least taste the game without waiting some years.

I am interested in a few games but i am also working on a budget. Fallout 4 and Just Cause 3 are the games i'm currently looking into at the moment.
Microsoft took what was on paper and made into a reality if anything.
In my opinion having the same old stuff quickly get boring. Uncharted can continue to be uncharted until it gets repetitive; Which is where i think influences become useful. RE4 became the catalyst for Gears and sparked the inspiration to quite a few games.
TR sure as hell does look better for it's price that's for sure. I'm amazed that bethesda could still manage to milk it's old engine in this era, at such high pricing.
I think there's going to be a little wait on Fallout 4, the game runs terrible on the consoles. hardly worth picking up at $60, not unless you're a die hard fan.
lol, holding back? XB1 has TressFX, BTAO, volumetric lighting, subsurface scattering and tessellation. two teams were also working separately. the 360 version looks good but clearly doesn't have these features.
It seems that even consoles get poor optimized games and need patches. The pc version is blessed with 60 fps and MODs.
