"We have to cancel the Shadow Moses Project for reasons beyond our control."
the property wasn't theirs to begin with. i strongly suggest if anyone with good skills likes a game this much they should do something similar instead of verbatim.
Apple and Sony have their own ecosystems with their own restrictions. I don't find anything different with Microsoft really. Even Digital movie services have their own restrictions too.
thought rise of tomb raider was pretty impressive,

you could hook up a 120 gbs usb stick via through a mini usb converter, those acttually exist. And also Technically you could stream all the data you want over a personal network.
I think hardware wise it's bound to happen, but by the time it becomes affordable the next generation will already be upon us.
Single player Squadron 42 will be out in 2016, check out their official website.
video link not working. Anyways, this already has last gen qualities at ultra settings, how much worse could this be on the consoles?
"According to Alobordo, the PC beta build ran with 55-65fps on a single GTX650Ti and an Intel i5 CPU (clocked at 3.1Ghz)."

what happened? it seems like they were targeting the last gen.
Beastly engines need beastly PCs. we already saw Ubisoft go out of their way to make the snow drop engine, now they had to cut it all down.
it's all games related. imo kickstarter games have more news legitimacy over DOA's boob jiggle physics, which was here on N4G.
She nailed it i'll say.
their cloud service essentially played pc and android based games anyways. better that they increase steam support.
It's more "beneficial" i would say. I mean you could put the money you save in games into either more games or hardware; which is lucrative i'd also say for consumers.
I hope all of the big companies are taking notes. Steam is profitable on both sides for consumers and game companies.
agreed.
for something with no paper trail It is an awkward coincidence that AMD picked the codename. the way it sounds, it's like it could be a foretelling of anything.
""Now here is a surprise. We all know that Rise of the Tomb Raider is advertised as an AMD Gaming Evolved title. After all, the game will be taking advantage of TressFX 3.0. However, it appears that this upcoming title will be bundled with NVIDIA’s GeForce 900 series cards." "
From a consumer perspective, It's a good incentive to get both for one price. but i also think Nvidia should be addressing proper support with their game deals. Untiy, Syndicate,...
Tomb Raider isn't just pushing a lot of rendering effects, it's also rendering bigger levels. the game goes seamlessly from above ground to below with caverns, crypts and underwater activity.
Optical Discs are technically from the 80s and are limited to physical size. Support for physical distribution of games i do agree though.
True about that. kojima games usually takes about 3 years of development time.
"Exclusives are what defines a console like Mario and Zelda on Nintendo and Uncharted on PlayStation. You take that away and your console becomes much less importortant."
Mario and Uncharted ran on hardware besides the consoles; portable devices. I fail to see the logic that properly excludes Microsoft from not supporting their operating system. MS doesn't own PC but they do own their own software and OS, which they have the right to make their own ecosystem wit...
