"Failure. It should do more than 700k first week because its a halo game. I cant wait to see all the fanat-X on the merry go-round"
It's an RTS though. like the first game, the Halo community is big on the franchise being an FPS. there's a community for it but the amount of played hrs for Halo is through being an FPS.
"Will Developers Actually “Fully” Utilize The Xbox One Scorpio’s Extra Power?"
I think it depends, 4k gaming will need the extra power alone. but mainly the console is aimed to offer xbox one games in a scalable form, with extra features.
I would predict every 3 years for sony. the upgrade was debatable and yet the push was within 3 years. which was a first. it would seem that these pushes (while not necessary or debatable) could be made in order to move the mass market. it's well within the possibility.
I side with games in particular and yes the power is there. with other viewers however they tend to relate with real people instead, or feel some sort of human connection. I agree with the concept of games meeting and surpassing other forms of entertainment, but the YouTube numbers in movies, music and even box office numbers don´t lie about the rest of the world. even for how lifelike the graphics are getting.
All of this info in the article was actually mentioned last year, same with the specs. Spencer already mentioned last year developers are pleased to use the box however they want. the leap in hardware is enough to write games for either 4k, VR, or whatever features.
life isn't quantifiable through frames...seriously. it's about your focus on motion. if you can track your hand motion you could see the detail. does this mean your hands are moving from 30 to 60fps? lol......our eyes just tend to lose detail when we do not focus on it.
Hideki reporting with lots of mental stress under development, I wonder if this has anything to do with the amount of revisions to UE4. UE4 has 14 revisions and over 1,000 modifications and counting. PlatnumGames started way back with version 4.2. since then lots of developers have reported various inconveniences porting their projects over.
"Do Scorpio and PS4 Pro Signify A Future In Which Consoles Start To Rival PC Gaming?"
PC is much more than just a gaming machine. it makes games, plays them, mods them and much more on top of this. so no PC still has limitless capabilities which are locked on other platforms.
Capcom seems to go light on UE4 once again. UE4 had physically based shading years ago - https://www.unrealengine.co...
and Epic have been dying to see developers take better advantage of it.
"Creative Director Neil Druckmann introduced a video showcasing Naughty Dog's new performance capture technology that is being used for the game."
I wonder if their working with Cubicmotion this time. looks similar. lots of companies have partnered with them. btw Cubicmotion won this this year's Siggraph for best real-time graphics tech. http://www.cubicmotion.com/...
At this point in time Scorpio would be pretty expensive, but in a year from now it could be within good price range.
"I would really like to know why there isn't a PC version."
I don't think i can recall any of the Red Dead games on pc before, maybe that's the reason. Of course things can change in the future for the franchise but it has been this way for a long time it seems.
Depends on which characters you gravitate towards. N4G obviously gravitated towards UC4.
"On that hypothesis, not talking about something real, just an idea, if we worked on a PC version what I have very clear is that we would work to provide a better version of what we have now on consoles. We could say that something like this would take us more than a year. We should work to adapt the engine, which is very laborious, and from there to develop its course." 3389d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment
you would actually think that working at a burger place would be the worst place in the world to work (which may still be debatable) but you do never actually hear about them being dangerous. like break-ins, ingredients or burger theft. or any drive-thru holdups....not unless they're really hungry.
Maybe, maybe not. Sony did say they wouldn't show off the Neo/Pro until there was enough games to show running. that was right when SE said they were considering releasing a higher spec version. of course with this being said FFXV was going to release regardless.
Which ever works better for them. as long as they can make a great game.
the xbox controller has almost 12 years of support now with pc. good news either way i guess.
I think Sonic changed with Yuji Naka's involvement with the franchise. mainly he put sonic on the map artistically and game play wise. the last game he actually programmed was Nights into Dreams. after that he became a producer. from then onward the redesigns took place.
It seems people wish not for a Zombie game but wish for Capcom's old horror style. Zombie games have and are still being made but in action form.
In Capcom's case it wasn't about the multitude of zombies that made it feel creepy. being alone with them is what made it feel as such. And it's key quest's too. Being alone searching for things was part of It's experience.
