interesting. Just a few days ago epic reported a couple annual losses in other divisions. now their losses have been sustainably covered through more investments. and to think epic was going to be effected, judging by all the comments and votes.

Cinemas in games are not the issue i think. i particularly do enjoy them.
I completed Death Stranding weeks ago and was also going to release a user review at some time.
particularly i think too sparse of narrative and gameplay diversity can create stale moments in games.
Chapter 3 in Death Stranding is Also to what Act 3 is to Gears 5. or all missions past 30 in MGS5.

but not necessarily so, a few devs also claimed to have interests in pc gaming as well - Cory Barlog, Hermen Hulst, Ted Price, Ru Weerasuriya, David Cage, on top of Kojima which also had joint exclusivity with sony.
whatever games they bring i'm sure there will be gamers for it. i thought they would be bring more Decima games but who knows after Days Gone.

particularly i think it needs to find a dedicated community on pc. which may be complicated and still is on pc. even with existing tools. just in the past few months pc game engines have been making big investments simplifying their tools even further for indies. to also keep up with hardware advancements. but anyways If it's among the games landing on pc then it is what it is....
this would have been a great opportunity for the developers to allow gamers to switch between the original and sigma versions. unless this gets patched the only other options would be to wait for mods or play the originals.
or just be content with the remastered versions.
it will still depend on how it's released on pc. of course it's operating on a pc native engine which enables many shortcuts of the porting process. but also given how many games ship these days with patches none the less.
even if a platform may be lead. hopefully Days gone is released in a solid state, needing less as many patches necessary to enjoy. it should run pretty solid for the most part.
More PS games are expected to land on pc as well. -

I got a chance to revisit this again recently and it was a great experience. a lot of solid work has been done in it's update. Star Citizen is indeed real and it offers real gameplay and it is pretty solid. you can also download it right now and play it. i will also try to make some of my own gameplay vids on it as well when i can and post some links.
anyways it play great i think.
it would have been so amazing if they did the whole trilogy on a brand new engine.
oh well, so glad that they're bring this over to all platforms and pc.
it's free to play for now. and the demo content is more than the whole mass effect trilogy.

And this was just UE4, without ray tracing. it's proof that the engine can more than deliver cutting edge vissuals as it is. even bring down expensive next gen PC tech to it's knees. if the engine pushes for it. drawing thousands of these characters on screen at once. to create a open world city.
