Hence why I'd just wait until I really had a use for one. I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to have one just to play with it but really until there is a reason/game that gives me a reason to own one then yeah, one is just kind of buying it and letting it sit in the box until they have a reason(game) that makes it worth while.
I'd wait. despit a price drop, if there is no game you want then you're just stucking buying a console and sitting on it till something releases you actually want. Why hurry and wait. I'd wait and pick one up when you're really ready for it or else it really doesn't serve it's purpose.
That's my outlook, as much as I'd like one there really isn't a reason to get one until a game comes out I want. Otherwise, it'll just sit there in its ...
I'm in the same boat, bungie and mirrors edge are the two games making me go next gen
Mirror's Edge, please.
I might actually pick this up now.
Mirror's Edge!
Please have something mirrors edge related at vgx! Please!
I hope for mirrors edge info as well. I think we might have to wait until e3 though :(.
I would like to see mirrors edge on this, or maybe as a download via PSN to go along with the new mirrors edge to release soon. It'd be nice to have both on my ps4 and not be split between consoles.
Depending on how Destiny holds up I'll probably pick up a ps4 when I pick up the game. We'll see.
I think 6 years might be about right. With the quality/graphic ceiling, 5 is too short...I'd say announce maybe 5 years in, release in 6 and cut off cross gen support in 7.
I think 6 years is a good number. Five is too short and 8 is too long so 6-7 years until the actual launch, not the announcement, but launch is about right. This is for a couple of reasons.
I think the world has kind of changed and spending that kind of money is less fluid now.
The "good enough mantality" along with just diminishing returns in graphics.
It's also more mainstream so they have to cater to that more than the extreme who want new ...
I'd normally agree with you but using tape on a brand new peice of $60 hardware feels wrong. I'd pref something more "official" and less sticky.
I wish someone would make a peripheral to cover the light bar.
Quick question. I was watching the final review of the ps4 on ign. It mentioned it isn't using the latest wifi standard and could hender future cloud/streaming. For any techs out there is this a probe for "future proofing" the console. Just curious about this wifi discrepancy. Thanks.
Any idea what they mean by "less intuitive than 360"? I skimmed the article but didn't understand their point on this.
Just out of curiosity has anyone calculated out when is the best time to buy one. Is it six months out (when the launch stock, foam on the beer has been cleared off) a year, a new version (ie slims) what?...at what point is the usual early/beta phase over and you're in the maturity of the console without much hiccup?
The issue with these articles isn't the article, I'm waiting and for a lot of the reasons mentioned. However, the issue is that once you've seen one of these articles you've seen them all, they all use the same example (games, bugs, ect). So once you've seen one there is really no need for more of these articles.
No cc, it can work just like XBL cards. You just need the code on the card.
NOOOOOO!!! I can't wait that long (sarcasm) what do I do? I don't want to wait that long for next gen but this is the first game I've seen that makes me want next gen. I don't want to buy if there is nothing I want. NOOOOOOO!!! WHY Destiny, why make me wait this long. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!
