It is a total mess in terms of FPS. Runs worse than Wukong maxed out incl. RT, but FFXVI does not have RT. The Cutscenes are at 30fps which is jarring after gameplay 3x-4x max fps, although the gameplay does fluctuate between 50-150fps on 4090 + 5800X3D at 4K DLSSQ + FG. 100fps fluctuation means that something is not right.
Here's hoping the demo is an older build and they have used the last month optimizing the game on PC.
They should have released it on Steam and GoG at the same time as on Epic Store. Because it is an Epic exclusive, it is not selling enough. Everyone's waiting for the Steam release.
Physical releases sales on PS5 are around less than 20% today. PC sales are mostly on Steam, I believe around 85% of them, and all digital.
I also think that these types of games have a problem: They keep changing all the time! I bought the game, tried it when it came out, and dropped it. Tried it once more, wasn't there yet, but it was almost a different game. I just keep waiting for it to become the final version so that I can play it from start to finish finally, a form that does not change anymore.

I still have Horizon 2 and Ghost of Tsushima to finish, and now Ragnarok is coming. PC is the best way to play Sony games for people who don't have time to just buy a game at release and spend 100 hours in the next two weeks on them. Lucky if I get 2 hours a week.
