GTFO hippy!
Oh I hope that's not common. I don't have Mordor, but I'd probably never have thought to go looking for a texture pack.
Are there other games doing that?
That isn't actually enhanced though is it?
Stunner on all platforms. Even the base Xbox One S and PS4 are looking pretty spectacular in terms of scale, detail, and performance.
@ZeroCarnage Of course I realise that.
Of course it isn't actually true, but I don't see why that minor detail should stop an important realisation.
I'm English. Basements are pretty rare here, and we have "Mums". We also have much more witty banter, if that's the best you can do :-/
I'm not saying they will penetrate outside the hardcore, but the hardcore is a valuable segment. The hardcore have their consoles online, they buy games and subscribe to services. If the X only ever gets the hardcore I don't think that's all bad.
I don't think MS expect it to expand beyond that while it's priced so high. 3 years down the line it might be positioned as the affordable console in their line, and that's another conversation. Too many ifs...
Reminds me of the days I used to be an android. Not gonna lie, it was tough.
It is also too expensive to be successful as a "new console". At the start of a generation consoles need to penetrate the market quickly so that publishers can actually sell games, whereas iterative upgrades have far less pressure to explode out the gates. If Microsoft were under those pressures they'd have released a £350 console, and they would have had to trim the specs to hit that price.
Imo that's a mistake Sony made with the Pro. They failed to ...
Mmm yes you raise an interesting point. However, even taking that into consideration I don't think it really changes anything.
Good chat though.

^^ not saying it isn't huge by the numbers. Some people are still happy watching DVDs and SD TV channels though. I don't think my wife would recognise or care about the difference between the Xbox one and the X, let alone the difference from the Pro.
I was quite content not connecting the Kinect to the X. Then I tried to take a screenshot using the guide shortcut. I plugged the Kinect in, purely so I can tell Cortana to "record that" or "take a screenshot". Much to my dismay, that doesn't work as well as it used to either! Cortana opens and gets in the way.
The share button is definitely an area of Playstation superiority. Microsoft should have copied that when they revised the controllers.
Define minimal? We've seen several example of games running at twice the resolution of the Pro version, sometimes with other details increased as well.
To me those are big differences, but to a lot of people it would be minor or maybe even hard to recognise. That's really down to how each individual perceives it.
Mmm yes, yes, this is very interesting. Good question.
Probably best you just double-check your Xbox One X plug is in properly, and then you won't have to worry about it.
Good luck 😊
Ha. I have a One X, but I salute you.
If your PC is connected to your OLED and is specced comparably or greater than the X then you're set, the X1X would basically be a waste of money. You should probably pick up a UHD Blu-ray player if you don't already have one (either a dedicated player, or a One S), as the OLED deserves that luxury :)
If you don't have such a PC or it isn't connected to the OLED then the X1X is a pretty tempting proposition right now as an alternative to a living room PC, so...
By that token the image quality between the PS4 and the Pro is minimal so.... Why do you own a Pro?
Hmmmm you know what, that might actually be easier than trying to ruin everyone else's day.
I'll think about it.
