To be fair, Battlefront 2 will be adding single player and multiplayer content for free. That was the carrot they offered before beating anything and everything in reach with the pay2win stick.
Can't argue with your timing. It is half price on the Black Friday sale :)
My kids love Battlefront 2.
They aren't allowed to throw money away on micro-transactions anyway (the joys of modern day parenting), so none of the controversy really touches them.
X? Nah. People that are old enough to appreciate resolutions and graphics will generally know what they want, so parents don't need a "console war" recommendation on which to get. They will have been asked.
The question is more for parents of younger children, and will probably be between PS4 slim/One S/Switch.
Switch is still the most kid-friendly console, it's just what Nintendo do.
Xbox has the best parental controls.
Ha ha man, at times like this I really feel I need the old Quake 3 announcer to announce the "Humiliation" in a way that really captures the magnitude of the event.
^^The $60 price tag isn't at risk. Publishers have already established that if they increase the price it hurts sales to the extent that they make less money. That is the only reason prices haven't gone up already, and that truth isn't changing.
Lower budgets, less risky projects, more incentives for customers to go digital. These are more likely ways they will try to apply the squeeze. That and more micro-transactions.
Oh wow, did not expect that. Chin chin, Belgium!
25 hours already? Lol do you sleep with the headset on or something? A night under the stars, in the comfort of your home?
"A few people even specifically told you that the Switch would never get a game like Valkyria Chronicles".
Sure they did lol
Pffft holiday? I feel you are deliberately under-estimating the legendary Phil Spencer!
....
He went to Japan to cancel Scalebound.
On the grand scale of VR Vomit Induction, smooth turning is a lot worse than snap turning. Snap turning is specifically used to combat motion sickness from turning.
Not saying you are lying or wrong though, as everyone feels these things differently. Unfortunately for me, I struggle with turning/straffing/elevation. I can just about handle running in a straight line. Hopefully I'll get better!

There is so much wrong with this article that I can't even be bothered to pick holes in it.
Lots of people seem to be mistaking what I'm saying as some kind of belief that EA will do the right thing. I'm not saying that. I'm saying wait and see what they change before saying they have or haven't changed enough. That shouldn't even need saying, but it seems it does.
Ranting irrationally and rejecting changes we have no information about on the grounds that "boooo it's EA boooooo!" achieves nothing. It just weakens the legitimate c...
Yeah, stamp those feet like a toddler. Good job champ.
I'm not arguing anything, I'm explaining the decision i made as it runs contrary to what you said, and contrary to the initial comment that no gamer would need an X. Long story short, the X is good for the price.
FWIW, I got £160 for each 290. I didn't (and don't) feel now is a great time to buy GPUs, but it sure is a good time to sell 'em lol.
I find 30fps on a control pad can be OK with a little adjustment. 30fps on a keyboard and mouse never feels good, there is no adjusting.
My old PC quite frequently needed textures to be dialled down for that 4GB limit, and it relied on crossfire support. I could more-or-less cope with that for a while longer, but it was also incapable of HDR support. When you spend in excess of 2 grand on an OLED TV then not getting the most out of it is a bit of a deal-breaker, and those c...
It's interesting as I had that very choice to make.
I have spent the last few years on a gaming PC connected to my TV. My watercooled R9-290Xs were beginning to show their age (mostly through memory capacity and poor crossfire support, but HDR support became crucial for me too). I decided I needed to upgrade my GPUs to really make the best of the TV.
I don't feel 4k30 is a valid target for a PC, it has got to be 60fps at least if you even occasion...
OK stating the obvious here, but you seem to be struggling to grasp it: Not every gamer has "your PC".
The X is a great console for anyone that doesn't have a high-end PC connected to their TV.
How can you say the Pro was never advertised as a 4k machine? I've got an email from Sony open on my phone right now, advertising COD WW2.
"Experience Call of Duty: WWII in 4k* on PS4 Pro"
"Call of Duty: WWII - available now in stunning 4k* on PS4 Pro"
If I zoom right into the tiny text disclaimer at the bottom you see their standard Pro disclaimer:
"*Games and entertainment streaming services can output up t...
