I gotta say, I'm a pretty hardcore PS fan.
Recently I got a Series S out of curiosity (already have a PS5) and Gamepass is vastly superior (probably not a sustainable business model, but superior to consumers).
This month I'm getting Flight Simulator, Hades and Psychonauts 2.....PS Plus I won't even bother adding the games to my collection, let alone downloading.
PS Now did better this month, but the biggest release (Nier Au...
Lol ...this is the most desperate click bait 🤣 not even gonna bother.
I Platinumed this game and anything less than 8 is offensive. The ONE complaint could be that it is not particularly innovative (or that it is a little short) but it perfects the Ratchet formula.
It is a truly wonderful game but definitely not for everyone.
I bought it and got stuck at Biome 3. I might go back to it eventually but every session requires 3-5 hours and if you die, you start over.
I understand the need for this kind of hardcore experience, but as someone who Platinumed Demons Souls, I feel this game can be a little unbalanced/unfair.
Konami says hi 🙋♂️
Lol.....all previews I've read have been mixed at best.
Then windows central claims this is GOTY 🤣
Have they played Ratchet?
Hopefully it allows for partial downloads (single player, expansion, multiplayer, etc)
They also have a history of not supporting new IPs and relying too much on Halo, Gears and Forza.
PS4 got Ghost of Tsushima, Bloodborne, The Last Guardian, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Spiderman, Death Stranding, Dreams, Detroit, Until Dawn, etc.
Microsoft's output was not even close.
In Japan, the PS4 has been impossible to find for months.
I was able to sell my launch PS4 Pro for $450....so I basically paid $50 for my PS5 (I got lucky and got a preorder)
I haven't touched my Switch since the PS5 came out 🤷♂️
I'm a casual Nintendo fan.....I am interested in Mario 3D World (but I already played it on Wii U) and I refuse to pay $60 for Skyward Sword (specially with the amiibo paywall).
At this point, I'm basically keeping my system for Bayonetta 3, Breath of the Wild 2 and Metroid Prime 4.....if they ever actually come out.
Well deserved. Got the Platinum and this game is truly Next Gen.
That was my first thought, but you can only download on PS4/PS5.
The PC App is streaming only.
People trying to dismiss the upgrade as a "4K obsession".
It's not about resolution....many games run very poorly on Switch these days and the framerstes are abysmal.
Expecting locked fps at 1080p can be done with a cheap smartphone....the switched still retails for $299 with faulty Joy cons.
Nintendo must do better 🤷♂️
Probably around the time when the PS3 started delivering generation defining exclusives and they realized they just couldn't compete with Kinect games made by Rare.
I will wait to read reviews before deciding if the expansion is worth it.
I am ok paying $30 if we are talking about something similart to Miles Morales or Lost Legacy.
If it is a 2 hour expansion, I'll probably wait until it's super cheap 🤷♂️
I just finished Ratchet & Clank (also bought Miles Morales, Demon's Souls and Returnal at launch).
The quality of the games was there so I never felt like it was unfair.
For Sackboy Adventures, I waited a few months and I just bought it brand new for $30 (and it was worth it).
I see many articles like this and I wonder, why are we not constantly complaining about Nintendo charging $60 for Mario Kart 8? Or Pikmin 3? And honestly...
This game seems ridiculously out of touch.
What we wanted "A Platinum game with Square Enix production values".
What we got "Online only generic mobile looking game".
Hard pass.
With Xbox, we have been "almost there" for 10 years 🙄 they need to stop promising.
They're not wrong 🤷♂️at least in Japan, with more people working from home the console market is really growing back.
It is impossible to get even a base PS4/PS4 PRO without paying a premium.
Platform games have never been particularly huge in Japan.
It is hard to compare the hardware situation in Japan compared to other countries. Even the PS4 / Pro has been sold here for months. I sold my used PS4 Pro for $450...more than I paid for it new.
Also software is constantly sold out. Ghost of Tsushima had a waiting list of more than 3 weeks, do it's reasonable to expect more people to buy digitally as well.
I have been a PS5 owner since launch. The other day my local retailer had Series S available so I pulled the trigger.
One of my friends works for Microsoft, so he gave me access to the employee store. I got 3 years of Gamepass Ultimate for $80 (around $2 a month).
My case is a bit extreme.....but there is no way I hell Microsoft can make a profit with this business model 🤔
However, as a consumer....I've already played: Ori a...
