As a Switch owner, the software situation is really disappointing.
Yes, we got some masterpieces (BOTW and Mario Odyssey are spectacular), we also got REALLY mediocre titles (Kirby and Yoshi), but mostly we got tons of old remakes with little effort for $60.
At this point, my Switch has been collecting dust for months. Hopefully BOTW2, Bayonetta 3 and Metroid 4 will eventually come out.....maybe 2022?
I just hope there is a proper PS5 version at launch instead of just improved backwards compatibility.
That list is pretty impressive for year 1.
Totally sold on Ratchet, GT7, God of War and Horizon. Also curious about Returnal, Elden Ring and Resident Evil 8 not to mention unannounced games.
Meanwhile, I'm here staring at my Switch wondering if Bayonetta 3, BOTW2 and Metroid 4 will bother releasing in 2021.
Since I stopped being ashamed of "easy mode" I've played more genres than ever before.
I think I can handle most genres, but I SUCK at JRPGs. I played FFXV and FFXVII mostly to enjoy the story and characters so I feel it was the right choice.
I had the patience to master Demons Soul's on PS5 (the first 3 hours were HELL, but eventually got the Platinum), but not sure I want do that for every game.
Having played the WiiU original, I struggle to see this game as a 9.
It was not bad, but lacking excitement and imagination compared to Odyssey and Galaxy.
That's what I felt before the GOW patch. That came out of nowhere and improved performance significantly.
Fingers crossed.
I got so excited when my game updated 😒
I truly thought it would be a new level or any other kind of expansion.....
Not sure if they are trying to stop scalpers or trying to force people to get their credit card 🤷♂️
The Online Sony Store in Japan had a similar system for their online lotteries: one for existing customers and one for the general public.
Playstation hardware has been sold out in the Japan for almost a year. The PS4, PS4 Pro and specially the PS5 are IMPOSSIBLE to buy around here.
Nintendo got lucky with Animal Crossing + Pandemic.
I teach children and most of them don't care about Mario, Zelda, etc. But they bought a Switch because their friends were playing animal crossing.
So while it's true that Nintendo software is dominating in Japan, Sony might be able to ...
In order to die, something has to be alive first 😅
I was honestly surprised to see it is only 25GB. That's some badass compression tech!
Now we are all staring at Bloodborne 🙄
Probably with the money they got to make it a timed GamePass exclusive.
I mean, no shade.....but I'm curious how many people actually paid for this game.
But does it have ray tracing?
Too bad the game is a bit of a mess in its current form....played the PS5 demo and it's extremely underwhelming.
Not necessarily bad....just basic and uninspired.
Living in Tokyo, I know at least 10 people who would buy a PS5 immediately if available.
Even the PS4 chas been sold out for AGES here. I sold my PS4 Pro for $400 (basically what I paid for it 3 years) ago.
I got lucky and was able to preorder with Amazon Japan, but it is next to impossible to buy one now.
As someone who lives in Tokyo, I find this disgusting 😒
We are supposed to be in a state of emergency right now.
No.
I'm curious about this. I liked the original headset but the tech really got in the way.
The processing unit was huge and needed a power supply (also had to be disconnected to play games in HDR). The move controllers were also extremely dated.
I'm hoping that the PS5 version is more like a Quest with an Oculus Link so we can play AAA games like Half Life Alyx.
