There wasn't any games worth getting aside from Mass Effect 3. I mean there are some niche titles, but when a bad game like Raccoon City is getting crazy sales like it is, you know gamers are starving for new games.

Well if you look at the time period from this year and last, there were more games coming out, thus more consoles are going to sell.
So far this year has really only seen Mass Effect 3, people are even buying that horrid Raccoon City game because there isn't anything else to buy.
I think price cuts and decent software later on this year will take Microsoft to a great Holiday season.

People need to stop crying over this. Its been said by a couple of different developers now that Kinect does all the work for the voice commands.
You would have had to write code for it work with a headset and headsets never work right for commands anyway. Endwar was a perfect example of a good idea like voice commands, but the headset just wasn't effective.

Well they are adding Kinect support for Skyim, it will basically take the place of hotkeys and things like that.
You don't need a mouse or keyboard if your voice is just as effective.

I'm kind of interested to see more on this game. I actually hate Dice, so while I found MOH 2010 to be a fun campaign, the online was utterly worthless.
The campaign had a prone feature and you could switch fire rate of the weapons, while the online played just like a crappy Bad Company game.
Glad Dice isn't touching this ones online, it might actually be decent now.

You do realize Nintendo had R&D into motion controls long before the Wii actually launched right? Its not like they said in 2006 "Hey, lets launch a motion controller".
The actual fact is that Nintendo was originally going to release the Gamecube with motion controls, but they just weren't good enough at the time.

Even after we heard from Bioware about how Kinect would work with Mass Effect 3 and why they were able to do it with Kinect and not a simple microphone.
Kinect has voice recognition built in, it works a million times better than old headset based voice commands.

Well Battlefront 3 was getting made, we can all blame Haze for the cancelling of SWBF3. Free Radical dropped an epic turd with that game and were forced to shut down strictly because of that game.

I didn't hate Fable 3, I saw that it obviously needed some more time in development. Two year cycles just don't work well for some games.

I love Quake 4! Maybe this will reinvigorate the online community since nobody really plays Quake 4 on XBL anymore.

Many people guess he was let go by Microsoft but was allowed to say he left on his own terms. He was probably a little too far out there.
Blame it all on Haze. Like that game didn't suck bad enough on its own, its also to blame for there being no SWBF3.

This isn't great news. People will spin it that its mostly the television side of things, but its all connected and a loss is a loss. The huge negative coming from the television portion can negatively effect the video game portion.
This is why Sony probably shouldn't release a new console anytime soon. They are already losing money on TV's and the Vita, I mean that is a lot of expensive tech for a handheld and they take a loss on each one sold.

There was a nice list of games that have sold over a million on Kinect. 10 platinum selling games on a device not even a year and a half old is pretty good.
