This is old actually, also Cliffy isn't exactly in favor of it, just realizes its going to happen anyway. The games are done months before they release and you cant just have the team sitting around doing nothing, so you put them to work on added content.

I've been an Xbox Live subscriber for seven years, couldn't be happier with their improvements and all of the content they add. I don't pay anything for those features, I pay for premium online service, security and a unified system, the entertainment I look at as a free bonus.

Gears Of War as a story and game franchise is far better than Dead Space. The gameplay is fantastic and the only people that really complain about the story are people that haven't really played through the games or even understand it.
