@ScubbaSteve
Oh yeah Rare is a sinking ship alright, Kinect Sports 1 is almost at 5 million copies sold and Kinect Sports 2 is over 2 million sold. whoa is them....
They've only released half a dozen platinum selling games this generation.....
I love the balls of Microsoft releasing Halo 4 around the same time as Black Ops 2. I will get both, but I'm kind of surprised that they are taking on the best head on.
I'm going to go ahead and guess Halo 4 ends up selling between 12-15 million copies. I mean if Halo 3 is up and over 13 million and most of those sold 5 years ago when the Xbox 360 install base was much smaller.
I don't think Halo 4 will beat BO2 when you factor in combined sales, ...
Lets see, it broke the record set by Black Ops for biggest launched ever, so that is gain. It was the number one selling game as well, its over 20 million units in and over 1.5 million people pay for Elite at $50 a pop.
Decline? Never happen.
The thing that Call Of Duty has going for it is pop culture status, its in television, movies and everywhere. It brings in non gamers and hardcore gamers alike.
People that try to compare it to Guitar...

Well we are all entitled to our opinions I guess, but as a Xbox 360 user since launch, I'm perfectly happy with the amount of exclusives, along with the quality 3rd party games that are usually better on the Xbox 360.
I will also say I don't mind Kinect games, I am looking forward to Crimson Dragon and Fable Journey.
The Xbox 720 is coming out next year, they are going to need a quality launch selection.
The community on the Xbox 360 is still pretty big for both L4D 1 and 2, I like the games and they are probably the only Valve games I enjoy, but I don't want to see another one this generation with that same dated engine.
I don't know, how many times can Kratos come back to life?
Why is everyone hating on this list or trying to demean it.
Honestly, some of those games look pretty good and we all know Halo 4 is going to be the biggest exclusive of the year.
I always get labeled a Xbox 360 fanboy, its usually because I see idiot trolls always bashing the thing for no reason.
I have a PS3 as well, but the only game that I'm even remotely...
Mass Effect 3 was hardly the worst ending in gaming, lets at least try to be real about it. For something to be considered the worst, it'd need almost the majority complaining about it.
I'd say Ghostbusters on the original NES was probably the game with the worst ending, improper spelling and it wasn't even really an ending.
Definitely gonna check this out, any Halo year with Master Chief is a treat.
Big ups for the biggest console exclusive to be released this year!
Guess I'll have to check out Conan now.
I don't know, this game could be good or mediocre, I'm torn on it, but I do know the name "Dust 514" is not something that screams hit.
I think they should maybe rename it or get a focus group together and find a better name.
Just so people know, I wasn't knocking it. I enjoy LBP and think Sony needed a mascot to appeal to everyone, which Sackboy does.
Some of my best gaming memories were with the original Crash, I mean who here who was alive and gaming back then didn't just get blown away by that? Especially for the time it was, simply amazing.
Little Big Planet is one of the better IP's this generation, glad to see Sony take care of them.
Nobody should pass this deal up, forget what you've heard from crybaby's about the ending, the whole game is fantastic and worth buying.
$40 is a steal!
I'm not a huge PSN user, but what gives with the extended down time for maintenance? It seems like every month or so it goes down.
Do they ever add anything or fix issues with it while its down?
Apple owns no game studios and Valve puts out a game every 2/3 years. Not exactly a match made in heaven, not to mention that Apple charges like twice the amount their products are worth and then releases a new version six months later.
I think that would fail about as bad as the Pippin failed in the 1990's.
Sega partially failed because they kept coming out for add on's and ended up losing consumer confidence. Just don't see how this would work. ...
Interesting that the Xbox 360 version got a higher rating than the PC version got from them.
Sony seems to be going with a more casual mascot lately, Sackboy is turning up everywhere, 2 full PS3 LBP games, a PSP game, a Kart Racing game, Vita game and now possibly a MMO.
Kind of reminds me of the Crash Bandicoot early Sony days.
I'm really excited about Microsoft's E3 show this year, I've enjoyed pretty much all of their shows this generation. They get flack because they support their devices like Kinect and show games that appeal to everyone, somehow that is a bad thing?
Anyway, Halo 4 is what I'm all about this year, so anything on the biggest and most anticipated exclusive this year will be welcomed.
Microsoft has also said they will be unveiling a brand new IP, so...
Apple could buy 10 studios right now and they wouldn't have games ready for a launch on par with the next Xbox or PlayStation.
Bottom line is that Apple products are way overpriced, I don't see even the heavy Apple fans wanting to drop $1000 on a gaming console from them.
@RedDead
How hasn't money helped Microsoft? They went from no profit and hardly any marketshare with the original Xbox to a majority marketshare this generation, money h...
Those employees are gonna part with that ol' EA saying, Get the f%&$ outta my building.
Gotta love EA, the worst company in America!
The problem is that Apple doesn't own any game studios that I know of. If they had purchased a few than I could see some legitimacy to this.
The Apple Pippin was a huge failure back in the mid 1990's and even though a lot has changed since then, Apple's current business model of charging twice what a product is worth and than selling a new version of that hardware 6 months later for an even higher price point just wouldn't work in the gaming industry.

Raccoon City and Kinect Star Wars are fun games, I think the only people disappointed in Raccoon City are the ones who thought it was going to be a traditional RE game. Its a solid TPS set in that world. The funny thing is that most people that actually have played the game are enjoying it. Its also selling extremely well.
As for Kinect Star Wars, not sure how that can be a disappointment around here, especially since nobody here had any expectations whatsoever for it. I thin...
